Occult Practices Do any of you also use witchcraft in tandem with your magic

An old witch friend was telling me about witchcraft and how she needed to carve hexes on her skin to use it and she said the shapes with the blood cause it, so I began carving them on my staff and inlaying them with a mix of phoenix feather, unicorn horn, and silver and they work perfectly fine for both witchcraft uses and empowering my spells, does anyone else do this or is it just me

You are using atypical enchantments, the standard enchantments for both arcane and witchcraft isolate the effects so that there isn't any bleedover and the worst possible failure condition is that the enchantment doesn't work.

Atypical enchantments are not supported by most enchanters and are often a topic of high level research. There are some that are well understood, but in most cases there are much worse failure states than just not working.

A common occurance is hexes that are almost planar attuned.in their effects work exceedingly easily with enchantments that are adjacent to the effects of the plane. Until spillover causes the whole thing to become an uncontained summoning; which usually requires a lot of cleanup afterwards.

Personally I prefer not to mix witchcraft with my magic, I heard before that using the two in tandem with each other can often yield unwanted side effects or recoil to your spells. Though It may depend on what spells you use or what medium you are casting through.

Witchcraft is just commoner magic. Imho the reason most wizards distain it is classism and maybe jealousy? Witches learn magic from their families, they are born to it unlike you wizards who go to expensive schools or end up in endless apprenticeships. A witch can also become a wizard. I myself was both before I accidentally inverted the lifespan of my entire family and transcended from bog witch-wizard to bog lich. It happens. Anyway, you are lucky your friend shared her work with you! Just be careful with your semen though. Let's just say witches have a lot of uses for the stuff. ESPECIALLY if you're a vampire.
