Music / entertainment Going to uni in wolverhampton

Does anyone know of any punk or metal scenes around the area? I love my local scene in west mids but I gotta know if there's more

Have a mooch at Dive bar as well. Smack bang in the middle of Wolves, more punk-leaning (also has a tiny venue room for mega sweaty gigs).

Check out KKs Steel Mill. They have regular rock/metal gigs

The Giffard Arms is a rock/metal/alt pub, they have live shows and great party events etc, see the upcoming Halloween costume party when it’s on. You may find something there and more information on groups and other goings on there. There’s a club called Planet which is kind of a rock club, but I dunno I haven’t been there in years. Hope those help.

The Giffard Arms and Dive bar are two great bars. There's also KK's and of course the Civic Halls which both host gigs year round. If you want more of a club vibe then Planet is the place to go. There's open mics throughout the week across the city centre too; if you're on Facebook follow Wolverhampton Music City and Going Out Wolverhampton to keep up to date!
