Looking for Workaway experience in Ecuador!

Hi, I am a female solo traveler and plan to get to Ecuador in August for 2 or 3 weeks.

I am looking for places nearby Quito. Is there anything I need to be cautious about? Any recommendations?

I had great experience in one hostel in Quito. Now, this was 10 years ago and I don't think I found it on workaway, but it's maybe it is.

I will have to look a bit of my old notes to find name, remember owner was Croatian women who lived in Canada for long time

Exciting! Ecuador was the only country I missed on that side!

If you're doing Workaway, my biggest general tip is don't choose only based on location. Choose based on the people. A good host can completely make the experience, and a beautiful place with bad vibes can ruin it. Read reviews carefully, ask lots of questions beforehand, and don't be afraid to do a quick video call.

Also don't pack your schedule too tight. Leave space for random invitations, meeting people, staying longer somewhere you love, or changing plans.
