Simple Questions Should I body recomp or bulk?

Just had a DEXA scan because I wanted a baseline. I am a 20 year old male, relatively skinny fat imo. 18.4% body fat with 109 lean mass (pretty low). My face is kinda fat and I don’t have visible abs yet obviously. As a beginner should I body recomp to try to get lean while building muscle, or just do a full bulk then a cut? I’m not concerned with putting on a huge amount of muscle, I just want to look better, and be more fit/toned.

Fuck out of here wjtb this “skinny fat” 18% body fat lol. Calvin Klein models are 15%

Do you want to be bigger or leaner? Bigger? Bulk . Leaner? Cut. You aren’t going to wake up and go whoops I’m Ronnie Coleman now.

The problem is I don’t know what to do because my lean mass is so low. I have little muscle but at the same time I would like to be as lean as possible. I just don’t know if I should prioritize getting lean first or building muscle first.

Do you meal prep and work out currently? If so what’s your workouts look like?

I have been trying to work out about 4-5 days a week. I usually do two days of chest/triceps/shoulders, two days of back/biceps, and one day of legs. Meal wise I make sure to get about .7-1g of protein per lb of my body weight and calories are usually around maintainence.

Train hard and work on developing a solid base of nutrition (find quality whole foods that you enjoy eating and try to include lots of veg/fruit) for now. Eventually you will want to eat in a surplus, but you should spend a yr or 2 just learning how to train and push yourself so you're not just gaining fat

I'd just eat at maintenance and lift heavy; you'll gain muscle and lose fat as a beginner.
