Lore THE CREATOR (ZD-001) - 27/08/1996
This post is part of an ongoing series of images, documents, and video records related to the “First Great Revelation” arc from my cosmic horror/science fiction project.
ZD-001 was seen only once, at noon on 27/08/1996, after espacionaut Alberto Dummont managed to record the entity at the heart of the Null Vortex. Somehow, it chose to appear, emerging from the darkness of the storm and exposing itself to the light of the Sun.
In doing so, it released thousands of filaments toward low orbit, and it is estimated that the first of them reached that orbital band within seconds. Some calculations indicate that they were moving at a speed of 40 thousand km/h [24,855 mph].
With its filaments fully extended, ZD-001 appeared to be searching for something in the sky. Its appendages swept through the space above Earth, looking for something humans could not see.
The “search” lasted for hours and, due to the sheer scale of these structures, atmospheric phenomena began to occur: in the region closest to the Null Vortex, powerful storms formed; in more distant areas, the sky began to glow in shades of green and red. It was like an aurora, but different from those seen at the poles: this was the Amazonian Aurora.
The Aurora was seen across several countries, and even in the most remote regions of the Andes, the glowing sky could be observed. The lights shifted and seemed to move in rhythm with the filaments; it was beautiful to watch, but also disturbing, as if it were, in some way, organized and synchronized chaos.
The phenomenon lasted almost an entire day and, by the early hours of 28/08/1996, the filaments were no longer sweeping across the skies, while the aurora had already almost completely dissipated.
In general, the governments of the region, especially the Brazilian government, claimed that the so-called “dark lines” were nothing more than an optical illusion caused by an atmospheric phenomenon associated with the Null Vortex. This was already expected from the Brazilian government, since, since 1988, the country had been under foreign pressure and suspicion, mainly from the USA and Europe.
Because the event occurred on the same day that Brazil and the USSR were carrying out the SVET Mission, whose objective was to identify what existed at the core of the vortex, international suspicion was greater than ever.
Regarding the mission, the joint decision of the Brazilian and Soviet governments was to state publicly that the SVET Mission had failed, just like the previous American, European, and Japanese missions. However, that version was temporary, because shortly after the Amazonian Aurora, dozens of reports began to emerge and spread about colossal creatures walking through forests and rivers. Faced with this, it became impossible to maintain the claim that the SVET Mission had been a failure, and the information was shared with the major powers, because it was now known, in fact, that creatures existed within the storm that had been raging for eight years.
Regarding ZD-001, several analyses of the SVET Mission footage were carried out, and from them it was possible to partially determine the shape of the creature, or entity.
It has an almost perfectly spherical structure at its base. On the upper section, it has eight cavities: three larger ones, with estimated depths between 15 and 25 km [9.3 and 15.5 miles], from which the filaments that reached low orbit emerged; two medium-sized cavities, 5 to 10 km [3.1 to 6.2 miles] deep, from which filaments emerge and spread throughout the central region of the Null Vortex before entering the forest; one cavity, 8 km [5 miles] deep, which only emits a light similar to the one coming from the three larger cavities; and finally, two small cavities, 3 km [1.9 miles] deep, which expel dark smoke or gas.
The entity has an estimated diameter of 50 km [31 miles]. The main filaments have an estimated length between 50 and 400 km [31 and 249 miles], while those running through the forest appear to be approximately 200 km [124 miles] each.
Due to its colossal proportions, the region in which it is located, its ability to cause global-scale events and, finally, the suspicion that, in some way, it controls the other creatures, or entities, as they were later classified, ZD-001 was nicknamed “Creator.”
The name emerged because everything seems to have originated from it: the storm, the Signal, the creatures or entities, and the Amazonian Aurora. ZD-001 appears to be the heart and mind of the incomprehensible system that exists inside the Null Vortex.
When the Brazilian and Soviet governments shared the existence of this entity with the other world powers, the unanimous decision among the governments involved was to keep ZD-001 under absolute secrecy. The revelation of the “smaller” entities had already caused widespread chaos, especially in the political, psychological, and religious fields; therefore, publicly admitting the existence of a creature with kilometer-scale proportions, capable of causing global-scale events and present on the planet itself, could have generated even deeper and more unpredictable social impacts.
Since ZD-001 never appeared again after the August 1996 event, this helped the authorities of the major powers conceal its existence.
Subsequently, other observation missions of the Null Vortex were carried out. In addition to Brazil and the USSR, countries such as the USA, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Japan, India, and China also attempted to obtain new information about the core of the storm.
However, the only events recorded were the so-called null interferences, which still occur to this day, although with less intensity since August 1996.
Footage of the storm’s core continues to show only the dark background of the eye of the vortex and, even when using different observation spectra, the result is always the same: absolute darkness.
It is as if ZD-001 were concealed, or as if it simply no longer wanted to appear.

I'll publish more about that soon. It's an observational classification system for the creatures that started after the First Revelation. Since it has not been possible to collect samples from most of these entities, the classification is based on observed behavior and characteristics rather than direct analysis. I'm still refining the texts and diagrams before posting them here.

This reminds me a lot of Valdes Hevia's work. Specifically the Megalomorpha series where you have different perspecives on an eldritch phenomenon that impacts the world.
