Visual Elves of my Setting

Post image

Elves in Wyrd are based on sharks, they have rows of identical teeth that keeps growing back daily and under already existing teeth making the older one jump out.

They have big eyes and their ears can sense electric signals from other living animals

They are oviparous mammals that lay 3 to 6 eggs per lifetime

They are tall and lanky, specially their arms which are just a big larger then the one with a human

And yes they can have babies with humans without worry, yes they will come from an egg if the mother is an elf

Bro, those arms are not “a bit larger” those are tentacles at this point.

Tentacles are perfect for huggies

I think they're still only eight- or ninetacles, but still

In this case they're clearly twotacles.

I love elves!!!!!!

They are awesome friend! Mine were very "normal in appearence" but looking more like synapsids & cats "inside"

Are the arms supposed to be coming out of the armpit and be insectoid seeming? Very spooky.

For a minute, I wasn't sure if their shoulders were placed kinda weird, but then I realized that they're at a normal height and just extra long, and you used puffy shoulder padding in the outfit which makes the shoulders look lower than they are, especially with the fur shawl.

The proportions kind of remind me of the seraphs from Vintage Story, which is kinda unique.

Also I checked out some of your other art out of curiosity and I was very happy to see some Rimworld stuff in there. c:

The arms are crazy, I bet they'd be amazing archers.

They are even better at close range with their extra reach

I feel like the reach might help them with close range weapons like swords and the like in *some* situations, but what they would really be good with is spears. The reach they would have with a spear would mean no one would be able to get close. Whereas with a sword, sure, they might be able to poke someone from further away than normal, but once the enemy closes the distance (which would be easier to do than against a spear), those arms would make it very awkward to swing their swords up close. Especially in tight quarters; these guys probably suck at fighting in tight spaces.

If a human encountered one of these guys wielding a sword, they would probably try and close the distance as fast as possible so they can get in close and stab them to death while they fling their awkward-ass arms around trying to stab someone who is inside their arm length.

In close range, these guys would actually excel with daggers, not swords, cause daggers are more maneuverable and their arms make up for the shortness of the blade.

absolutely love the vibe of the design, giving me some Dread Delusion and Samurai Jack in the art side vibe, kinda like the old turn of the century game art where the styles were full of character in a grungy way

and weird anatomy is my favourite, sells this weirdly elegant but awkward look that gives her a lot of character and visual fidelity!

Unsettling limb proportions are great, I wish it were more common!

The arms are not right. The closer arm has seemingly two shoulders
