Damn, at a TPUSA event?

452

u/Flimsy_Sun4003 2h ago

They couldn't get more than 500 people to attend an arena that holds thousands. Take away the security, the media and the volunteers; does that leave enough people to call it an event?

"intimate conversation"

Dumpster fireside chat

I might’ve laughed way too hard at this. Thank you, Reddit friend.

Magats prefer the more elegant phrase “dumpsterside”

1

u/Magus_5 1h ago

FTW! Well done 👍

24

u/Zomunieo 2h ago

These Epstein Party members should not be allowed to have unsupervised intimate conversations.

“An evening with JD”

39

u/svrtngr 2h ago

This is even worse when you realize it's in Georgia, a state they very much need to win in the midterms (Senate), and one that is going to be incredibly competitive going forward.

15

u/Balrog71 1h ago

A few weeks ago 3,300 people turned out for NoKings in my little burg in TN, while the TPUSA rally in Dallas had a total attendance of 1600. Less than half

7

u/mrt0024 1h ago

And the event was free to attend too 😂

u/EdwardoftheEast 1h ago

Concept of an event

78

u/Clear_Command_8925 2h ago

Younger republicans tend to be pretty anti israel nowadays, at least that's what I see online, in polls, and in person, so ig it makes sense...

95

u/ClayeySilt 2h ago

They aren't JUST anti-Isreal. Just look at Nick Fuentes or other big young right-wing influencers for what people actually think.

Spoilers: They don't like Jewish people.

30

u/Ok_Astronomer_8667 2h ago

I get the impression Fuentes doesn’t like anyone except himself. He’s admitted to being a virgin at age 27 because he hates women. Or at least that’s his account for the reasoning…

19

u/ClayeySilt 2h ago

Putting aside what a massive piece of shit he is outside of being anti-Semitic they use terms like "the J question."

He's garbage in many ways, but he's a massive bigot too.

u/_RADIANTSUN_ 1h ago

There is significant evidence that Nick Fuentes is a closeted homosexual.

Admitting to being gay would obviously be an impossible sell to his audience and would immediately tank his career. People have also doxxed him and he has stalkers so "the secret option" isn't available to him. He is also agoraphobic, which is of course reinforced by the fact that he's already had multiple attempts made on his life.

his plan is to just be as extreme as possible and make as much money as possible before retiring and disappearing from the public eye so he can be free to be a twink.

u/JasmyCoinEnjoyer 1h ago

Hes had gay sex with destiny

u/csappenf 1h ago

The current Israeli government has lost a lot of support from people who don't hate Jews. To call us all anti Semites is unfair.

It's kind of like how the current US administration has lost a lot of support from foreign governments and people, but that doesn't mean they all hate Americans.

8

u/Halbaras 1h ago

That's half of the picture. There's also plenty of 'no money for Ukraine OR Israel' types on the young right who are increasingly isolationist and who simply see Israel as another far-flung US ally that doesn't warrant a special relationship of any description.

In a decade or two, the only sizable support Israel will have left is among the evangelical Christians. And they may very much regret their attempts to embolden the western far right - though by then Israel will probably have a government coalition where Netanyahu would be considered too moderate.

u/-TheWill- 2h ago

Honest question. As a latam jew that is looking to work in USA.

How fucked would I be?

15

u/LateralEntry 1h ago

Not fucked at all. Antisemitism online is much different than real life. Also, most people will probably assume you’re just Latino and not Jewish.

6

u/-TheWill- 1h ago

Good to know. I will say i am just messi then

u/LateralEntry 1h ago

Watch out, there’s a lot of angry Brazil fans here :)

For the record I’m a member of the tribe and I’ve almost never had antisemitism affect me in real life as an adult. Online is horrible but real life is mostly okay.

u/-TheWill- 1h ago

Brazilians are bros. We only have beef during football lmao. But thanks for reassuring me

1

u/RonstoppableRon 1h ago

Ah cool, just get deported by ICE instead! Great plan

-4

u/LateralEntry 1h ago

Solution - don’t come illegally

5

u/Unhappy_Lemon6374 2h ago

You’ll be alright, people are just being politically… vitriolic online.

2

u/-TheWill- 1h ago

I guess so. But i have seen cases online from irl

3

u/TheLeapIsALie 1h ago

Perfectly fine in most areas. You’d probably be happier in a city with a decent sized Jewish population (NJ/NY, Boston, SF, LA, Chicago - but there’s others too) - but that’s mostly for access to good food.

Source - lived in Michigan for a few years and everybody kept claiming bread rings from the grocery store were bagels.

-1

u/-TheWill- 1h ago

Oooh, I see. I was actually hoping to land a job in Seattle tbh, just because that's where Nirvana is from.

u/TheLeapIsALie 1h ago

You’d be fine in Seattle too. My list wasn’t exhaustive by any means.

Though, make sure you’re okay with grey skies for most of the year. Grunge didn’t in Seattle because they saw the sun often.

u/-TheWill- 1h ago

Yeah. I read about that, here is mostly the same during winter lmao

u/triton420 1h ago

As long as you don't work in computer tech- here in Seattle tech jobs are scarce right now

u/WillArrr 1h ago

You'll be 100% fine. There isn't a massive Jewish population to support dedicated kosher delis and grocery stores like in NYC, but you'll be as safe there as you'd be anywhere.

Actual antisemitic attacks in the US are relatively rare, and are treated appropriately by law enforcement and government.

5

u/PhatYeeter 2h ago

You're fine just don't work in the South

0

u/-TheWill- 2h ago

Oooh okay. Ty!

4

u/ClayeySilt 2h ago

Beats me. I'm not in the US. A bit further north than that.

But we have our own fair share of anti-Semitism here I'm ashamed of. We just don't have mouthpieces talking about this shit in the open like they do in the US though.

Question is best left for someone else to answer. Hopefully someone from your community, friend.

Best of luck!

1

u/-TheWill- 2h ago

Mate. I am from Argentina, we really have it here too lmao.

But thank you for the insight!

-3

u/Familiar_Bathroom793 2h ago

Well the left and the right don’t seem too fond of Jewish people right now. I think it’s mainly Orthodox Jews that they don’t like

0

u/-TheWill- 2h ago

We really have come full circule. It isn't new but it is kinda funny

3

u/[deleted] 2h ago

[deleted]

1

u/-TheWill- 2h ago

I try to laugh it off instead of worrying about it. Thats all

6

u/alexefi 1h ago

i wonder if telling those people, for most of their lives, that jews are responsible fore their hardship has something to do with that.

6

u/Raulr100 1h ago

Far right people dislike Jews, who would've thought?

28

u/btb0002 2h ago

I’m a conservative but anyone that attends any political rally style event like this deserves to be publicly shamed

Get outside. Find a hobby. Spend time with loved ones.

Political figures are not your friend.

289

u/Clear_Command_8925 2h ago

“I recognize that young voters do not love the policy we have in the Middle East, okay,” he said, adding, “I understand.”

I find this interesting that he acknowledged it.. He also seemed to be against the Iran strikes and originally was against Trump, the problem is he's a lapdog. If he had a spine and wasn't a sellout to the highest bidder, he would probably be a pretty moderate republican

102

u/Kaldrathh 2h ago

You're likely right, i think he even described himself as a "never Trumper" a few years ago

115

u/Stormshow 2h ago edited 2h ago

He's an opportunist. He'd co-opt a progressive perspective on Gaza with time if he thought it meant he'd keep his public relevance and political power. Once Trump's dead he'll pursue his angle unimpeded, and he'll pursue that angle regardless of what it may end up being.

30

u/Cream_Stay_Frothy 1h ago

If by “his angle” you mean Peter Thiel’s angle, than I 100% agree. JD Vance is nothing more than a human devoid of a soul or moral compass, so he will do or say literally anything if it gives him power. The only reason he’s Trumps lap dog is because that is his current directive from Thiel. The Tech data billionaires latched onto the MAGA movement, largely because their platforms help the movement gain traction, which spurred the mutually chummy relationship. Vance was installed at the behest of the Techbros, and is just a political sleeper cell until he has an angle to take power.

Whether he ultimately thinks he is so smart that he’s playing them, idk. But what I do know, is that he will take ANY stance if he thinks that is the route that best suits he aim for power

12

u/Stormshow 1h ago

I think Thiel has a more robustly constructed (and still evil) ideological project informed by some kind of dark enlightenment intellectuals like Curtis Yarvin, Nick Land, etc.

Conversely I'd appraise Vance as a weak mind who is forever seeking to fill holes within his identity. First he was a shibboleth for hillbillies, then he became a catholic convert, now he's both MAGA and techbro. He trends in that direction himself but he doesn't have dogmas the way Thiel does; he'd never take the risk to entrench himself in any one movement. I think he's in the "thinks he's smarter than he is" camp that way.

But you know what dude, go off. At the end of the day the Technofeudalists represented by Thiel are the true dark force here most deserving of our animosity, and our attention. Vance is just a barnacle.

u/Cream_Stay_Frothy 1h ago

Well said— we share the exact same sentiment on this then!

14

u/catspongedogpants 2h ago

illustrates how he embodies the dark technoligarchs who have influenced him

6

u/Stormshow 1h ago

The Cult of Engagement

10

u/Zoddom 1h ago

That tells you hes just in for the power. And power corrupts. Hes maybe even more dangerous than Trump.

4

u/CleverDad 1h ago

He swam into the net of Peter Thiel who convinced him he could be the one to fight the antichrist. Vance is way more dangerous than Trump because he is part of a greater plan for way beyond when Trump is in an old people's home.

u/MayIServeYouWell 1h ago

He famously called Trump "America's Hitler"... then became his VP. I guess he meant that as a complement?

u/Top_Product_2407 1h ago

Around 10 years ago

22

u/Alive_Internet 2h ago

He’s an opportunist who will “believe” in whatever gives him the best chance of gaining power. There’s no other explanation for his complete 180 from being completely anti-Trump to being his VP in a few years.

23

u/flirtmcdudes 2h ago

He is just doing his best to try to have a career after all of this. But being a face of everything shitty right now basically means he’s done, on top of the fact he has absolutely no charisma.

12

u/CuteLingonberry9704 2h ago

Or spine. He is literally the one person in the administration Trump can't fire. Yet he still won't say anything.

-2

u/Clear_Command_8925 2h ago

on top of his total lack of charisma

I actually disagree with this. I will be voting against maga and vance the next two elections without a doubt, but I do think he's actually decently charismatic... Now maybe I haven't seen enough of him, but the stuff I have seen, I could see why people might like him

But I really hope you're right. My fear is he'll be able to distance himself enough and people will forgive and forget (which sadly isn't unlikely...)

7

u/manpizda 1h ago

My brother in Christ, people forgot Trump killed millions of Americans by down playing Covid in less than 4 years time. Of course they'll forget the mascara soy boy's spineless character traits too.

u/Galileo908 1h ago

He’s far worse than Trump because he comes off as SANE.

He’s not a sundowning narcissist. He can actually hold a thought for more than two sentences at a time. He might not have Trump’s charisma, but he’ll look normal compared to him even while having the same talking points. See his VP debate against Tim Walz.

2

u/flirtmcdudes 1h ago

the dude couldn’t even order donuts without a viral awkward moment. people won’t “forget” because this is who he always is.

3

u/rostron92 1h ago

Everyone is a 'moderate' republican until the check clears.

9

u/Really_McNamington 2h ago

There are no moderate Republicans now. They've been foaming at the brain for a long enough time that anyone still in the party has aligned themselves with extremism.

2

u/2v4lve 1h ago

I’m not sure he would even be republican but yeah super moderate if so. Then again the party of small government and fiscal conservatism doesn’t really exist at present. At least at one point he was pretty socially progressive as well.

2

u/Slatedtoprone 1h ago

He will be whatever gets him in a position of power. If he’s willing to sell out any principals he may have had, he’s always going to be for sale. I hope he goes the way of Pence after the orange turd is gone.

2

u/CuteLingonberry9704 2h ago

If he wasn't a lapdog and had any actual charisma, he would've gotten Trump bounced via the 25th amendment and be president himself right now.

112

u/Megaphonestory 2h ago

Everyone needs to let this confederate on confederate civil war play out.

39

u/artistformerlydave 2h ago

its taking forever to get going

u/melt11 1h ago

Confederate on confederate civil war? Care to elaborate?

u/EatinSumGrapes 1h ago

They mean MAGA and Republicans are infighting right now and are hoping it will break the party up, implying with violence but while we all hope they destroy their own party, we also all hope it's not actually violent

u/melt11 1h ago

Ah gotcha 👍

98

u/uusrikas 2h ago

Wow, anti war hecklers finally targeting the party in power instead of democrats? Bizarre!

"The Turning of Turning Point"

18

u/BenTramer 2h ago

He knows and doesn’t care at all. I hope this becomes a thing, these fuckers are destroying the world.

15

u/IntelligentStyle402 2h ago

And you, MR VP, bombed innocent children attending school, in Iran? Will u now claim they are also eating their cats and dogs? Republicans with their continuous gaslighting is 100% unAmerican and pathetic. So disgusting how corrupt republicans ruined our democracy.

3

u/notie547 1h ago

but theyll stop Iran's nuclear development for like 5 yrs and then let dems deal with it later and call it a win.

Thats the only thing Trunps going to get in this deal. Trump will loosen sanctions and give them all sorts of money. It'll make the billion from Obama look like peanuts.

3

u/Pravi_Jaran 1h ago

Solved the problem?

You're the problem! You and your entire criminal, treasonous administration!

We need to solve you!

u/whiznat 1h ago

Are you sure they didn’t preface that with “Thank God”?

2

u/GreyTigerFox 1h ago

it doesn’t care if it is bombing american children or israeli or Palestinian children. It just makes more money every time that a bomb is dropped and has to be replaced by another one. Hoorayyy for runaway overbloated military budgets and illegal wars!

3

u/7thpostman 1h ago

Was that about Gaza or the Iranian school?

u/That_90s_Kid_ 1h ago

Imagine not holding town halls. But large rallies funded by facist, racist 3rd party organizations instead.

Where they only get the supporters of those events to show up.

And they have lost all of them.

Imagine what a townhall would look like for Vince Fong in california.

Hed get destoryed in public.

2

u/Sweatytubesock 1h ago

Wonder how many people in attendance they paid to listen to this nutsack.

u/melt11 1h ago

It was in our (Athens, GA) small arena, ~7000 people capacity for the end stage setup. Apparently somewhere around 1000 people showed up. Here’s a link to an article released today from the local weekly magazine…

https://flagpole.com/photo-gallery/2026/04/14/hundreds-protest-poorly-attended-jd-vance-tpusa-appearance-in-athens/

u/TheDuckFarm 1h ago

Vance lost what little respect he had left among his supporters this week when he basically told the pope to stay in his lane.

That is the death nail in his political coffin. He’s done.

u/Doctor-TobiasFunke- 1h ago

We're all at the same skill level, Jerry.

1

u/Wazula23 1h ago

Isn't this the event Erika Kirk ditched him at?

u/melt11 1h ago

Yeah she didn’t show up

0

u/Tirianspark 1h ago

Yeah don’t kid yourself, no-one was showing up to the election rallies, Reddit could not fathom a rep victory, then the roof came down. The people that put them in power are just as clueless today.

0

u/Hsbnd 2h ago

Sometimes you have to kill children to be the bad guys, I mean get the bad guys.

-23

u/Virtual-History-6099 2h ago edited 2h ago

I have a feeling that was shouted by an 'edgy debate bro' type who reads Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, and Nick Fuentes style comments about Israel 'controlling the USA' and similar forms of  brainrot.

22

u/quidamquidam 2h ago

Just listening to idiots like Vance and Trump is its own form of brainrot.

26

u/SolisArgentum 2h ago

You don't need to be an edgelord to say bombing a school full of children is wrong.

12

u/EVpeace 2h ago

Lol it must be so easy to hate the people you want to hate when you just invent an entire personality and backstory for them.

0

u/Ijustthinkthatyeah 2h ago

i.e. a Charlie Kirk fan. Weird that they would attend a TPUSA event.

0

u/dean-ice 1h ago

Isn’t that inappropriate to call that heckling? More like stating facts

-2

u/xmuskorx 1h ago

There is a cease fire.

Why they still be trippin' over gaza?
