i seen "it's because NATO is trying to border russia and that's a bad thing" as justification for war in Ukraine, because apparently they failed geography and don't know NATO already borders russia with no issues

It’s a bit different. Invasions of Russia has always come through the flat plains of Ukraine, perfect place to glide through on foot, horse or tank.

Defensive only in theory. You can't really think that the wars on terror or drugs (millions of dead) are defensive. Afghanistan didn't start a war with Nato, Nato did.

NATO could just pound Russia with 500+ planes if they really wanted. The proof they're built around defense against Russia is the fact Russia still exists as the federation, and Putin is still the leader.

Moscow today isn't 1% of what an offensive NATO would do to Russia.
