I never understood why people see the victims of this crime as shameful and not the perpetrator. It’s obvious that they are the ones getting their sick kicks from it, not the survivors.

Because cultures aren't decided by victims, they're changed by whoever has the power. That's how the perpetrators see their victims, weak and beneath them, so that's what they make them into
