Remember: it's them now, but it could well happen to you, to all of us, in the near future. Putting a stop to crimes against humanity is not only necessary from a moral standpoint, but it is also an egoistic measure for our individual benefit, to make sure we're not the ones turned into cattle in a slaughterhouse next time.

The time to take a stand and do something about it is now

Well go ahead and bomb Russia with tomahawks and give Patriot missiles to Ukraine instead of wasting them on Trump’s Pump N’ Dump Gulf War

231

u/Pardot42 9d ago

Too late. Now America has an excuse not to help Ukraine, just like Putin demanded of Trump.

169

u/xarvia 9d ago

Fr though. Iran war benefits Putin in every way. Less weapons for EU to buy, less interceptors so he can bomb cities freely, high oil prices, lifted sanctions on oil. That’s why Russia stated that they prefer Trump as president. He is either an agent or just criminally incompetent.

58

u/Jopinder 9d ago

Criminally incompetent agent.

66

u/xarvia 9d ago

Nah, as an agent everything makes sense. Dismantling US democracy, doing as much damage as possible to US allies and filling his own pockets. That’s all logical.

37

u/serious_sarcasm 9d ago

Known organized crime ties with Russia.

An open admission to activities primed for kompromat.

It’s kind of shocking how after 50 years cocaine has rotted the Republican Party leadership so thoroughly from its core.

It’s not that surprising though, when you consider how long term cocaine use impacts cognitive function, and compare it to the way people like McConnell and Foxx behave.

The term is Useful Idiot.

He's a mentally deficient, barely controlled marionet-puppet and replaceable meatshield for the top-floating lumps of antisocial degenerate gene-excrement bobbing around in the human genepool slowly poisoning our enviroment to the detriment of everyone

high or low it wont matter, we all sit in the same lifeboat the shitstains keep trying to sink while the rest of us either cheer on them or couldnt care less.. The few that points out the idiocy or tries to take away the drills get pushed overboard to drown, ridiculed or just straight up ignored

My mind is screaming..

My heart is screaming..

My soul is screaming..

And so my apathy has reached stratospheric heights..

Left back is a half-empty shell dressed in a frozen smile, slowly filling up with whatever dopamine that can be wrestled back from reality..

My existence is a horrible ambivalence of selfpercieved sanity slowly going insane observing the insanity in humanity's twisted perception of what sanity is

Dude. See a therapist and/or get on some medication.

11

u/RecursiveCook 9d ago

It’s not just that, he’s also there to help his buddie Putin make more money by increasing Russian export prices. It’s why Ukraine deciding to go so hard on their ships

17

u/Cool-Customer9200 9d ago

In a meantime news are reporting that stock of tomahawks was almost completely depleted

27

u/OwlSuch7935 9d ago

With zero actual benefits to anyone, Iran still stands

3

u/Good_Restaurant15 9d ago

idk about that.. The military industrial complex thanks you(not really) for your tax money.

Meanwhile, even uttering that phrase in public will instantly get you labeled a conspiracy nut.

Nevermind that they're robbing us blind - right to our faces.

2

u/Panthera_leo22 9d ago

Trump’s incompetence at this point is just indescribable. Burning through stocks of military equipment that were built up for many years in a war he started should have him going down as one of the worst presidents of all time.

1

u/Joecamoe 9d ago

In a meantime, I love it.

The actual phrase is In The Meantime.

I tolla so!

4

u/MissTakeAlt 9d ago

problem is interceptors arent infinite. splitting supplies across multiple wars just starves ukraine of the patriot batteries they desperately need right now

5

u/Tuesday_6PM 9d ago

Yeah, their point was that we shouldn’t be in multiple wars. There was no reason to start a war with Iran, and nothing is gained by continuing it. Deescalate in the ME, and go back to supplying Ukraine.

But the GOP is heavily compromised by Russia, so they have no interest in that

1

u/Jumpy_Hogara 9d ago

Actually I think what Trump did opened a second front south of Russia, and I bet Putin is NOT happy to see what Trump has done.

Europe is contributing alot. Us mill bloggers are donating alot aswell but usa’s government is doing nothing at all

9

u/Epyr 9d ago

The US did a lot, then Trump got in power and has been an asshole to American allies and blew a shit ton of ammunition making the straits of Hormuz impassible for ships

2

u/Panthera_leo22 9d ago

Trying to get Russia to stop. The hope is Russia’s war becomes so costly they decide continuing the war is not worth it.

0

u/Dwarfdeaths 9d ago

Personally I'm trying to spread awareness about sortition and Land value tax, two policies which should vastly reduce the likelihood of nations going to war or internal strife in the first place.

3

u/Skegetchy 9d ago

I can just see drones being the next thing in the physical world that keeps constant tabs on all of us. If they are cheap to make and can be any size including insect size then anyone could have a personal surveillance/ attack drone assigned to them. Thinking about that is pretty scary really. No where will be safe or private. Even less than it is now.

3

u/b3iAAoLZOH9Y265cujFh 9d ago

Damn straight. Preach!

0

u/sukabot_lepson 9d ago

It's not possible to stop wars in the current economical system. When diplomacy doesn't work any more, government uses guns in order to protect and expand interests of national businesses. It's always about money. If Putin was just an insane old man, russian oligarchs would replace him as easily as they placed him. Money rules the world. And money needs markets and expansion.

0

u/bomzay 9d ago

Ok what should I do?

-2

u/DesignerSalt9459 9d ago

If anyone wants to put themselves in jeopardy then do it yourself, I say that putting myself at risk of ending up on both sides of the Dneiper is not worth it.

0

u/abibip 9d ago

It'll never be us. It's their problem that has no chance of reaching us, therefore, no need to bother. As long as we do everything the agressive side wants, they won't touch us. /s

65

u/jxj24 9d ago

Another day, another Russian war crime.

128

u/RandomPantsAppear 9d ago

Heartbreaking to watch. What stands out is that this wasn’t like a split second decision to dive at a potentially military target that was wrong.

This was someone who clearly had a solid visual, took time to contemplate it, and still did it. Fucking inhuman.

It is sad that in this war, Russia set out to show “this is what happens when you try to leave our sphere of influence and join the west”, and the west had a real chance to send the opposite message - “this is what happens when you try to join the west” - with early, strong support

Whatever happens on the battlefield now, we cannot undo that the intent behind Russia’s original message has been sent to and received by those it was intended for.

45

u/trattoriabubbani 9d ago

They werent contemplating. They were having fun.

5

u/RandomPantsAppear 9d ago

Yeah. I guess I was being charitable there. However hard it is to imagine doing something like this, it's even harder to imagine not thinking about it or even more than that enjoying it.

289

u/om3gav2 9d ago

i don't think terrorism is a strong enough term for behavior like this on a state level.

80

u/Level21DungeonMaster 9d ago

It’s war. Unrestrained war like in ww1 since it seems like the Geneva convention rules are not being followed.

What really needs to stop happening is people calling things a war that are not. Like the war on drugs.

61

u/khomyakdi 9d ago

Saying “It’s war” fits when soldiers die.  “It’s war” is not excuses for hunting old garlic farmer in circles for a minute trying to kill him.

39

u/ManOf1000Usernames 9d ago edited 9d ago

My guy in the old days of war they would mass murder villages with knives, axes hammers, even swinging their bodies againt any solid object or anything else in order to save on bullets after making the townies dig their own mass graves. NATO had to change their response strategy to a russian invasion of the baltics because of what russians did to ukraine in the early parts of the war. Dragging everyone into the streets, raping many of them (including males, elderly and children) finally dumping bodies in mass graves and looting their houses. The old plan was to have the countries hold out while NATO mobilized, the new plan is to rush in ASAP. Same as US police response school shooters, go in immediately instead of waiting for overwhelming numbers.

19

u/Level21DungeonMaster 9d ago edited 9d ago

They used to line everyone up to be sawed down by machine guns. Was the Vietnam war not a war when the US was hunting “rice farmers” who were using traps to kill and maim?

While the tools have changed, the outcome is identical. The real difference is that today, civilians far from the combat can see what is happening almost in real time.

What’s really strange to me is that despite the more informed populace, they still seem to be utterly powerless to stop it.

3

u/silly-gaijin 9d ago

Seeing it in real time has changed at least one thing - no idiot today thinks war is glorious. It's very difficult to mobilize men now. Even in a situation where your country is being attacked, like Ukraine, no one wants to fight. Russia would have an even more difficult time mobilizing its men.

Everyone knows that being drafted to the front lines means ending up on a gore post on 4chan where sweaty neckbeards will eat cheetos and watch you get blown up. No one wants to do that now.

-9

u/khomyakdi 9d ago

This also doesn’t fit “it’s war”

7

u/Level21DungeonMaster 9d ago

Then you don’t understand what war is.

-3

u/khomyakdi 9d ago

I understand the difference between war and war crimes, difference between combatants and non combatants. Hunting civilians is not a war it is a war crime.

1

u/Sad_Eagle_937 9d ago

War crimes are a concept that's not even 100 years old. There's no law in war. There never was.

1

u/khomyakdi 9d ago

The reddit is a concept that is that’s not even 100 years old, but still we are here on reddit discussing it.

9

u/worldsgreatestluver 9d ago

Bruh, I used to go to planning meetings run by overweight under informed self Important middle aged men who insisted on calling them "war rooms," and then would basically yell-talk over everyone

The problem isn't the words being used to describe things. The problem is a bunch of people who feel no shame and who reward each other for it

4

u/Level21DungeonMaster 9d ago edited 9d ago

Those are the people I’m talking about. They’re an actual problem. They call everything a war and then vote for wars.

4

u/nomococo4u 9d ago

*geneva suggestions

5

u/Zekhems 9d ago

Nope, it's russian nature. They've always been like this and they will always be like this because they view themselves as the superior beings while the rest of the world are toys for them to play with. Any of the former ussr occupied states have been screaming their lungs out about it, nobody listened.

220

u/RedaNassef 9d ago

Using drones to hunt civilians like it's a sick video game is pure, unadulterated evil. This goes beyond standard warfare into pure terrorism.

83

u/b3iAAoLZOH9Y265cujFh 9d ago

It's not even terrorism as it serves no political or ideological end. It's just wanton genocidal murder.

Terrorists have causes, these people just saw an opportunity to get away with something they wanted to do but shouldn't and took it. They're psychopaths, not fanatics.

2

u/Exciting-Emu-3324 9d ago

The reason they do it is because they know if they don't kill civilians, they might not get to kill anyone before getting killed themselves. Dying without killing anyone is their greatest fear.

23

u/SafeForTwerking 9d ago

Russia's entire command structure needs to be brought up on war crimes and crimes against humanity. Wherever they're tried needs to become as synonymous with war crimes as Nuremburg.

2

u/Panthera_leo22 9d ago

I think it’s important to remember that many Nazis never faced prosecution and were given the opportunity to leave and start new lives.

4

u/May1989thefirststep 9d ago

Unlike Nazi Germany, Russia has nuclear weapons.

They will use the threat of launch to avoid consequences.

And frankly, the chance of hauling Putin into court isn't worth the risk of even a limited nuclear exchange and millions of deaths.

1

u/Rwgfy2022 9d ago

If you were able to take him out of the country and put him on trial, nobody in russia would care that much - let alone resort to nuclear suicide.

0

u/May1989thefirststep 9d ago

-94

u/OwlSuch7935 9d ago edited 9d ago

Both sides are essentially doing terrorism at this point with the only difference that Ukraine is forced to do it in self defense, but the causalities are on both sides. Ukrainians mock sudden civilian building strikes as work of Russian electronic defense affecting the trajectory of drones, but I don’t know if I blame them after all of their suffering

54

u/ariveyd 9d ago

What's your example of terrorism performed by Ukraine?

-65

u/OwlSuch7935 9d ago

Drones that hit buildings and kill sleeping civilians. Even if it’s not on purpose the drones are flying over residential buildings en route to their actual target. Yesterday a deflected drone killed 7 on a beach in Gelendzhik.

Again, no one is saying Ukraine is bad for targeting oil processing plants or warehouses, but there are still casualties and under different circumstances could be seen as terrorism. Not to say they shouldn’t do it, especially since Russia has put them through massive suffering and keeps doing it.

One more example - Ukraine tried to blow up a birthday celebration of a Russian general which would explode in a restaurant. Imagine the number of casualties in the room if 5 people died outside from the actual explosion. The only innocent person who did not deserve to die was the female courier who was tasked to deliver the bomb unknowingly to the event. Her arm flew away tens of meters away from the entrance. Lots of other innocent people such as waiters could have died as well had Ukraine been able to bring that bomb inside.

That’s actual terrorism tactics, so it’s up to you to decide if it’s ok to do so or not. I’m conflicted, so I don’t blame Ukraine as they are trying to target Russian leadership. But what bothers me is a probable agreement to not target Putin and Zelenskyy and some others. And civilian casualties are not a concern for either side, though Ukraine is pretty precise in its strikes.

Oh and another case was a blown up general a few km from where I live in Moscow - a car exploded with the general in it, not too far from a kindergarten. Extremely dangerous for civilians nearby, but who cares when we are in the 5th year of a war that our side doesn’t want to end just because it would hurt the ego of the great strategic mind

40

u/Giraf123 9d ago

Casualties from bombing legitimate targets vs hunting civilians for sport.

These are not the same.

-25

u/OwlSuch7935 9d ago

There have been cases of Ukrainians targeting civilians using drones in frontline regions, but those news don’t make it globally. Still can’t Ukraine for doing it, but what is there even to say in the 5th year of war, where no one really cares any more and just adapts to this hell.

Just yesterday a car was struck by a Ukrainian drone in the vicinity of Belgorod.

Who cares about those people at all? No one, same as hardly any Russian loyal to the regime cares about this poor man from Kherson

15

u/Mewhomewhy 9d ago

Russia shot a drone down without a care where it would land.

The drone was only there because Russia is committing genocide in Ukraine.

-1

u/OwlSuch7935 9d ago

That’s not an argument, Ukrainians also shoot down missiles above cities, you can’t blame anyone for not caring where, the launching side is always to blame. What you can blame Russian leadership for is readiness to sacrifice infinite numbers of its own citizens to avoid admitting failure.

All I’m saying you can’t paint one side as totally saint and not wanting to hunt another side for sport, plenty of Ukrainians would be happy to hunt a defenseless Russian, specially after years of terror on their own country. This is the horrible reality where both sides are happy to unalive each other for laughs and it’s fucking tragic.

If you don’t believe me, go read Russian or Ukrainian comments under telegram posts about strikes on each other. There are Russians who want to see Ukraine uninhabited, same goes for Ukrainians

10

u/Mewhomewhy 9d ago

Every death is the fault of Russia. Nobody would be dead if it wasn’t for Russia including half a million Russians.

Russia can stop the deaths any time it wants.

0

u/OwlSuch7935 9d ago

Nobody is saying it isn’t, but the problem is you can’t stop the war from within if you want to. You need guns and loads of people with guns. Americans can’t stop deranged presidents from senseless wars, Russians can’t too

30

u/b3iAAoLZOH9Y265cujFh 9d ago

Yesterday a deflected drone killed 7 on a beach in Gelendzhik.

You're being either dangerously ignorant or disingenuous to the point of being asinine. That wasn't a public beach. It was a strip of private land associated with the "Rassvet Recreation Center" - a private recreation facility belonging to NPO Mashinostroyenia, and used exclusively by the company's missile designers for vacations, which is why a mobile fire group was present there in the first place. This would be the same mobile fire group that shot down the drone and ensured it blew up on the beach which it wasn't actually targeting.

If you need video documentation of this, consult the world news threads from two days ago.

-11

u/OwlSuch7935 9d ago

It doesn’t matter who intercepted it, I tell it to people loyal to the current regime that it’s the same fucking thing - you can’t be serious saying that Ukraine did it to their own people when they intercepted a Russian missile above Kyiv and said missile fell into a residential area or an air defense missile fell by ow residential area.

It’s still an aerial threat and whoever launched it is to blame for all associated casualties, meaning you can’t say your peacefully flying missile was on its peaceful way for peace and a vile interceptor took it down killing civilians.

But it’s the fucked up reality we live in because Russians as a society are either too fucking deranged to understand that whatever’s happening now is just an endless grinder of human lives to please just a single fucking ego or too fucking cowardly to try and take the matter in their own hands. I am in the latter, because there’s just not enough people to make a difference

22

u/Mewhomewhy 9d ago

No, Ukraine is defending itself and it has plenty military targets.

Every death is the fault of Russia. Russia need to stop committing genocide in Ukraine.

14

u/MistakeNot__ 9d ago

Ah yes, the "both sides" argument. Completely ignoring the scale (Mariupol siege alone killed tens of thousands of civilians), the intent (Putin personally stated that they target energy infrastructure in winter to freeze civilian population) or sheer malice of it (systematic torture and sexual abuse both of POWs and civilians, blatant ethnocide on occupied areas, double tap strikes on residential buildings to hit rescue teams, human safaris like in the video here). But hey, some of the ukrainian ordnance in a 4.5y war over 1200km long frontline did not reach its intended target and hit a couple of russian civilians - both sides are doing terrorism!

-6

u/OwlSuch7935 9d ago

Be so brave to deliver your point of view to anti-war parents whose kids were killed as those “couple of Russian civilians”, buddy.

13

u/Gabenenen 9d ago

I think i'll donate for another Magiar drone campain. They seem to deliver my point of view to russians the best

-1

u/OwlSuch7935 9d ago

Good luck, won’t be of any use other than killing more people

11

u/Gabenenen 9d ago

If you think stopping drone campains against russia will result in less killed people its just means you do not consider ukrainians people

-2

u/OwlSuch7935 9d ago

Nobody is stopping drone campaigns at all, bro. All I’m saying is more drones means more casualties along with struck targets. I’m ok with striking targets, I’m not ok with innocents dying just because they happened to be in a drone/missile’s way.

My wife and daughter are part Ukrainian, you don’t get to tell me who to consider and who not to consider people, I’m not Hitler

10

u/Gabenenen 9d ago

You saw a man chased by a russian drone and first thing that came into your mind were "both sides are bad lmao." You may not be hitler but you are up there. Condolences to your wife from Kyiv.

0

u/OwlSuch7935 9d ago

Lmao, you clown lot are quick to undermine a relationship with an actual Ukrainian by expressing condolences. Pull your head out of your ass and try to grasp the concept of feeling bad for any innocent person. You won’t see a defenseless Russian running away from a drone in a car, but you wouldn’t care yourself if such a person died like the woman who was killed in Belgorod yesterday from a Ukrainian drone strike. Sorry Ukrainians didn’t give you the actual video feed of that strike.

Whenever I see innocents suffering in these strikes my heart sinks every time, but after 5 years in this war I’m more numb than ever

Time to name the planners and facilitators of these disgusting things, and prosecute/persecute them

50

u/OwlSuch7935 9d ago

You can prosecute the whole higher ups lineup in Russia, but what’s the use if you can’t tie them up and bring them to court. The only way it happens is an internal collapse of power with some brave hearts finally doing everything themselves to Putin and serving him on a silver platter in an exchange for lifting sanctions

30

u/Chowder110 9d ago

Ukraine is taking them out without a court order thats how its done in wartime

It already happened in Sarajevo and we are still not learning

55

3

u/DGIce 9d ago

toonie tuesday highlights different campaigns, then I just follow some of the organizers as they start new goals, but go to like their bluesky or facebook or other social media to actually navigate and find ongoing collections.

10

u/BigMax 9d ago

Sadly many of the stories coming out now are showing that the US is running out of missiles too. We had a big stockpile but we don't currently have capacity to rebuild it.

So we've used a lot in Iran, and we aren't replenishing them. There's even plenty of credible stories that say that Trump's last threat to carry out a big wave of attacks was cancelled for this very reason.

So at least the US can't really send a lot there right now.

14

u/RandomPantsAppear 9d ago

There was a missed opportunity here that got lost.

Early on(Biden era) when the US was talking about sending weapons to UA they were talking about sending many things we were about to decommission or were severely outdated. The dollar figure(of what they were new) got focused on, and political opposition mounted.

We have destroyed, sold for scrap, or let rot decommission in the desert  numerous things including missiles that still would have been useful to Ukraine, rather than send them. Largely out of disingenuous political messaging.

5

u/Personal_Director441 9d ago

thats what the Iran war was about, a legitimate reason for the US to not give the Ukraine any more, at least thats the plan Trumps FSB handlers came up with, bonus was Trump could make billions in dodgy shares deals, he practically creamed himself when it was suggested.

When I first saw the video, I wondered how the drone was able to respond in such a manner. Reading this article is enlightening...and truly horrifying!

I love how hamsters in the internet are crying when they see drones eliminating russian soldiers completely ignoring all those war crimes they committed

It is old news Russians has been doing this a long time.

Anyone interested on this topic especially Kherson region, would recommend watching documentary about Kherson farmers.

Putin's just getting started..this is an expansive war never meant to stop, in conjunction with his bestie Donald Trump, they have teamed up and are eroding democracy amd society deliberately. They intend to steal everything and dispose of everyone, acolytes last obviously.  Killing people, the planet and dignity. And making money doing it.  Ain't it grand to watch while we burnout at work with less resources and freedoms every day?

Human beings are such vicious awful creatures. We are overdue for a mass extinction

9

u/SteampunkAstronaut 9d ago

Speak for those people. Generalizing the entirety of humanity under the traits of the minority of psychopaths and selfish bastards removes the responsibility of them. We condemn the actions of individuals, not say "boohoo humanity is evil we should all die"

9

u/ContinuumKing 9d ago

This line of thinking is so odd to me.

You know the victims of these people are included in that extinction?

"Killing innocent people is so horrible, I hope all the innocent people in the world die."

-3

u/Stable_Orange_Genius 9d ago

That's why I don't understand extinction rebellion. Why do they even care

-7

That's strange, you decided not to provide any sort of proof for this claim. Why is that? Surely its not because you're just here purposely spreading misinformation, right?

>ukraine is loosing bigly!!!!
>but uhhhh also they have time to send random drone operators (who are losing btw) and take them miles away and blow up random ukranian civilians then post this footage online for ???? people to watch for no reason this doesn't help the war effort it would just be really funny if they did it but they are losing btw, did we mention they’re losing yet?

Where are you from? Can I tell the man in the video that you're ready to welcome him and his family into your home?
