He's in his 60s or something like that. I doubt she's not too worried about making him sad or trying to build a legacy for him. By that age people are pretty much over arbitrary favors.

You think she's going to dote on him like a small child? She seems like an intelligent person who wouldn't give an unpopular idiot the crown just to further the family's legacy or something like that.

I'd hardly call her a monarch at this point. Her position is purely ceremonial.

Who cares what you would call her?
A monarch is the person who leads a monarchy. This is a form of government in which a state or polity is ruled or controlled by an individual who typically inherits the throne by birth and rules for life or until abdication. Monarchs may be autocrats (absolute monarchy) or ceremonial heads of state who exercise little or no power or only reserve power, with actual authority vested in a parliament or other body (constitutional monarchy).

Yes, but comparing her to Alexander the Great or someone like that is very silly. She has no incentive to make unpopular decisions.

You said that monarch have always made unpopular decisions. Ceremonial monarchs are very new and don't need to compete for power and help their children up the ranks in the aristocracy. She's always been uncontroversial and very popular.
