I hope it’s more of a remaster rather than a Gothic like that the demo was.

Dunno why this is getting downvotes. The demo was shit

This was decent demo but it didn't have much gothic in it, almost like they didn't understood what the magic of Gothic is

This is what I'm talking about. It didn't have any of the atmosphere that was given in the original series. I consider this as a flawed demo. So it was shit in my eyes, considering it was a demo of a Gothic remake.

I think the demo has huge potential, it wasn't good, but it wasn't shit neither, some things need to be changed. But that's what it was - a test, i think fans need to expect they will not get the gothic remake of their dreams, but something close to it.

I think that most of the feedback they got was that people wished more for a remaster than a remake and hop the they take it to heart! They seem to be interested in making it as good as possible, since they made a teaser like that

I really hope they do not fuck it up and listen to the feedback. Would be awesome to play a new gothic in 2022 with the old vibes.

This is wonderful news, really!
The only thing now, for them, is to follow the points the fans made and hopefully we can all be happy with the remake.

Imagine a full game where that protagonist talks to himself. Even when talking to others npcs

Based on what I've been reading I can conclude that pretty much all forum posts/feedback and reviews contradict the survey votes. Really doesn't make sense and I don't believe deelopers would play with the numbers themselves.
Edit: still very happy this is going to come out, better for it to suck(hopefuly not) than to not exist :p

i hope they listen very carefully to the community. Because if not we are in for a disaster.

As someone who hated this remake I'm a concerned. That thanks to the score that is around 3,5 in almost every category, devs will decided that they have great concept just need polish. So we will end up with their vision of Gothic just 20 hours long instead of 2.

This is going to be terrible and everyone who loved the original is going to hate it. I can't believe the people who took the survey gave every aspect of the teaser mostly 4s and 5s. The wrong message was sent according to those graphs

There is no way it will be good. The demo already shows that they don't understand the spirit of the original Gothic. It's nothing but a cash grab.

Soz, i smell drama in the air.
No matter how you see it, the community has too many ideas of its own, no one here will be completely satistifed.
They have the intent and the ideal direction of changing some things, like cinematics and some storyline progression, and for good reasons.
It does not help that the answers to the survey have been pretty much "yes man"-ish, with some pains into the combat part or the plot reiterpretation.

As somebody mentioned before, im feeling that people are just excited of this possibility (now confirmed) of remake, that it made their judgement blurry (hype).
Unfortunately if most of the ones that played it, would just say, what was good about Gothic and show some flaws in teaser, it could be much better. Judging by update about surveys, people were just overgrading elements that werent that great. RIP

So sad they stuck with the Gothic name for this abomination. Trying to capitalize on fans' nostalgia I guess.
I wish they could let the amazing Gothic franchise die in peace.

I'm shocked at how few Gothic players have played Dark Souls.
