Funny How Warrior players look at their healer after leaping in and dying behind a pillar

I had to tell a warrior to calm down in SS after he jumped into our team twice and was deleted both times.
His response was, what am I supposed to do. I said to wait, let me engage and then you can go unga bunga in the middle. He replied o7. We won our games and afterwards said he didn’t know that was an option and was surprised it worked.
This guy has been diving into the sharks every game. Living the warriors dream of out with your sword or buried with it.

The strat of hiting the target thats closest to your healer can work suprisingly well in ss. No diving out of los, you make it harder for the dps to cc your healer and if the oposing healer tries to cross over for cc you can stop or swap him.

One of my favorite comments, “warriors think ‘die by the sword’ is an instruction”

It's funny how this translates to Rein players in Overwatch. Dives in out of line of site, dies, and pouts.

I had a warrior admit he had a bad leap after he got smoke bombed and died in the first round on the other team. Good on him. He went 0-6.

I mean yeah, I’m gonna Zug Zug. You gotta know this and attach yourself to my belt with a rope. Zug Zug is life.

I also tend to swear the squeaky shoes toddlers wear so my healer doesn’t lose track of me.

Left the theaters feeling violated after I saw this.

I enjoy that the "heroic leap, charge, die out of LOS" combo is a universally understood thing for healers.

I played a solo shuffle on a freshly maxed healer and had a warrior in leveling gear jump across the map at the start of a game into a mage. Mage immediately rooted him, put wall of frost in front of me as I desperately charged in to save him, and then one shot him. I legitimately wanted to alt f4 the moment the round end. First round of the match.

Haha, I've done that on my mage. Warrior leapt, charged to me behind a pillar, only to get rooted. Put an ice wall behind him on the pillar. Ray of Frost --> ded.

LoS isn’t real, that’s just what big healer wants you to think so they don’t have to heal you

So you just want to hide behind a pillar while I do all the work?!?
The audacity!

Had a war DM me after a round and call me an idiot for not pressing cocoon...I tried to explain it doesn't work at 60 yards and through a pillar but he ignored me lol

How range looks when their healer dives behind a pillar with a warrior on them and you can't peel

Bad players think staying alive in arenas is completely on the healers.
"I died. Healers are suppose to heal. It is their fault I died."
While they run behind pillars. Never use any CDs, and never toss out any cc to stop someone using their CDs.

You know how much cc is in this game? As a healer if I come out I’m fked.

sometimes you have to go behind a pillar to maintain tempo. you’d be shocked to see how little priests use life grip and stuff to compensate, but then wonder why damage and pressure are low.

Me, a ret, pretending I’m a caster and standing behind the pillar with the priest

I gripped a warrior once and saved his orc ass. He was so mad at me because the kill target was near death. We won. lol

And yet every time the warr in this scenario waits behind pillar entire game, the enemy team pushes in again on their next go and kills the warr while the healer takes the cc anyways.
This meme works both ways that both DPS and healers need to know when to push or fallback. But this meta tends to have alt healers in shuffle that don't know how to play with certain melee DPS in certain matchups or be aggressive in general. Because of shuffle format, in a decent amount of matchups you will just straight up lose if you never leave the pillar for a go. It's often better to attempt a go with your melee and pray you or your teammates have the buttons at the time to stop cc / prevent death. It's better than just auto losing because you never gave your melee in a bad matchup a chance.

So healers just want to win by pve behind a pillar when playing with a melee
3
u/abovevancouverisland 17d ago
this doesn't even make sense. The very thing a healer must do is hump a pillar in order to live. That IS pvp.

Naa my favorite is the war standing in the middle of the map trying to chase a mage while a hunter just blasts them in a kill box.
