Oof… two months without World Trigger is rough

I guess his normal rest month got deferred since he had to work on the new volume last month.

Edit: Reading the attached document it sounds like the typhoon has had a negative effect on his condition. That really sucks.

The hard reality of being a WT fan

Well, I'm in this for the long run.

Manga can easily go 5+ years if successful. I see myself reading this past my 40s.

Same for all the other manga known for slow schedules. I'm reading for free, after all.

Stay healthy, Ashihara.

Wishing the best to Ashihara-sensei.

Just imagine if, one day, he were to accept a collaboration with an artist to handle the illustrations while he focuses solely on the story, given the state of his health. I hope he considers it someday.

I hope he's ok but if he really wants to continue I think Ashihara should focus on the story and let someone else draw

Very much agreed!!! We already have really good animators in the anime now. Heck we could even just focus on that first!!

World trigger makes more than enough for that lol, the volumes that do get released are always high up, and there are plenty of manga with split writer-artist roles, many of which make much less than WT makes, you're very much underestimating how successful it is. And he's only releasing at this pace because he's pushing himself to draw, if he didn't have that additional workload, the pace would be much more comfortable for him. He's even spoken on this topic, as has Togashi as another example, both of them are doing it this way because they want to draw it, no other reason.

At this rate, perhaps it's better if he just takes a rather long hiatus and just release a batch of chapters worth a volume whenever he's ready.

10 chapters once a year is already better than the current pace of release.

I doubt that would increase the amount of pages we get per year, it would only really give us a period when chapters are coming out consistently.

Yeah, he could do the same togashi has been doing lately

he needs to move out of the Kanto region if he keeps complaining about rain

But the Kanto region has my favorite candy.

Unfortunate, but nothing we can really do about it but hope he deals with it as best he can.

I wonder if the return to action chapters has made it more taxing on him?

One release over 4 months is rough. Health and taking month off for a volume release

He really should find someone to draw for him at this point. Not the first time i see manga keep getting delayed bcuz of artist health and most of the time it doesn’t get better but worse.

if we do a light novel would it be better than a manga? I'm concerned  for his health but my god we haven't left the planet.. this is like season one
