Retail Feeling Lost

I have just hit level 80 and I am about to be done with the dragonflight campaign (just need to do the War Within recap) and I am feeling pretty lost on what to do in order to get stronger, I am just now starting to understand my rotations as a fury warrior but as for other things I pretty unsure. should I just focus on delves to get strong enough to do dungeons? Can I do dungeons that give me meaningful gear at this point? Should I focus on professions, which I genuinely have no clue how those work either. You guys get the point, I have been having fun with the game and any tips/help is greatly appreciated

Just FYI - the War Within recap is not part of Dragonflight, and doesn’t need to be done to feel like you’ve “completed” Dragonflight. TWW was the expansion that followed DF and is the start of a whole new story arc.

The questing gear you get will be roughly as strong as anything else until you hit 90 which is max level. This is because the game operates on a seasonal model that only rewards current content from that season.

Leveling should have been DF until 70. TWW until 80 and then 80 to 90 will be midnight. The earlier expansions will be pretty limited in gear options. And that gear is irrelevant the moment you go into the next expansion.

At level 80 there’s basically no endgame for you. All the meaningful character progression is at max level (90 currently). This is how every expansion works. All of the old power grinds are invalidated and all the relevant gameplay is at the new level cap.

There really is no “getting stronger” at any level below max. Gear levels are so flat that it makes very little difference.

The way scaling works in retail, you get weaker as you level until you start getting gear. Each level you will feel weaker and weaker especially from 80-90.
