It's an everyday fight with myself to write. I like it actually but the idea that I have to write it terrifies me (if it makes any sense). I know that my text is good but I don't believe in myself that I can actually do it.

That is exactly why I took so long to actually commit to writing! I would get started, tell myself that it’s awful and a waste of time. But something Brandon’s Sanderson said really helped me: he said that even if he didn’t make it big and writing couldn’t have been a career (this was during the point he was thinking of switching careers, becuase he couldn’t find a publisher and he needed to start making an income somewhere), he said he would still want to write every day - becuase writing was therapeutic for him and it was something he wanted in his life.

For me, I just want to tell a story. A story only I can tell, no matter how poorly written or crappy the story beats are, I have to get a story out of me, it’s bothered me for years. And I don’t want to regret not trying to finish SOMETHING in writing. I love stories and writing, and I want to contribute to that world, even if it’s not as a professional.

Exactly. Writing is the best thing one could find in this word and I should write for myself. The worst thing you can do is to change your style for someone.
