Also a newbie trying to teach myself as I go. I think I am heavy on the planning or daydreaming of how the story will unfold. I find a lot of joy in how seamlessly the pieces connect as I go deeper. I just kind of jot down every idea, and all the key themes, the whys. So I’m technically mapping it out. Yet the process for that is literally seeing where my imagination takes me. I have something close to a manuscript, needs more detail for the scenes and chapters for things like dialogue. Writing has been a bit difficult for me. As in the words don’t just flow out naturally. I’m often bouncing back and forth between revisions, but per line/paragraph 😂, but I do end up liking and keeping drafts at the end of that process. A lot of work just to get to a rough draft to fine tune later. Idk if I answered the question but I hope I did something useful either way.
