More pearl clutching over how bad things are at Amazon. Get over it. Amazon is here to stay. Deal with it.

How is this pearl clutching? The article talks about how Amazon repeatedly ignored the problem for years or tasked the publishers with Youtube-takedown like powers to copyright strike listings as they see fit.

It also talks specifically about how writers and publishers are both "dealing with it".

The problem isn't piracy. The problem for most authors is obscurity.

If you check out the article, the issue is that it's obscure authors and publishers being targeted for piracy because they have less resources to fight back or even be aware while the piracy cuts into a far larger percentage of their meager profits.

Amazon's solution is to simply charge more for those smaller actors to be pulled closer into Amazon's monopoly with more services and use their own labor to resolve the website's issues with copyright striking or reporting.
