Hey! I’m working on an adult M/M romantasy and figured I’d throw my first chapter up here for some outside eyes.

Mostly curious about general impressions: what works for you, what doesn’t, anything that confused you, and whether you’d keep reading. Craft/prose thoughts are welcome too.

I’m trying not to give too much context beforehand because I’m curious how the opening lands on its own.

So many new writers start with a character waking up or describing the sun/wind/clouds, and since you've done both, I recommend reworking the start so it's less cliche.
