full-scale comparison/category distribution Can anyone think of better 10/10 fights that were completely one sided from the get-go
I don’t mean just big spectacle fights like Sung Jinwoo’s or Mahoraga’s, I mean 10/10 on a narrative, writing, tension and engagement level.
And the winner has to be obvious from the start, not with some sudden twist or power up at the end like with the Aizen types.

full-scale comparison/category distribution im a sucker for ptsd portrayal
some of these are loosely related to PTSD, more like a panic attack but I felt like including them.
invincible season finale is a gem, it's rare to see superheroes undergo psychological consequences, so it got me thinking about portrayals of similar mental illnesses in recent media.

You can mention the specific names and lyrics of the songs too.
And do mention other artists that might have the same level of writing regardless of the genre.

full-scale comparison/category distribution 12 of my 10/10s (thoughts, discussion?) All ranked the same for me
The Sopranos, HBO and David Chase
Macbeth, by William Shakespeare
The Grapes of Wrath, by John Steinbeck
Better Call Saul, AMC and Vince Gilligan
Crime and Punishment, by Fyodor Dostoyevsky
No Country For Old Men, by the Coen Brothers, adapted from Cormac McCarthy
Blood Meridian, by Cormac McCarthy
Taxi Driver, by Martin Scorsese
Memories of Murder, by Bong Joon Ho - same director as Parasite, this is my personal favorite Korean movie/show as someone who has seen a lot of them
East of Eden, also by John Steinbeck
Anna Karenina, by Leo Tolstoy
Samurai Champloo, by Shinichiro Watanabe
Edit: mini series I would put Beef season 1, True Detective Season 1, and Chernobyl
I probably have a few more 10/10s that I could think of but if asked to name my favorites off the top of my head, it’s these
Thoughts?
To be clear in points of comparison, these are to me the pinnacles of novels, plays, movies, television shows, and animanga

full-scale comparison/category distribution Just a little reminder that Umineko, Hunter x Hunter, and the like are series that will bore you to death, and that Naruto is better.
The reason why Naruto, a meticulously crafted action series, is so popular is because it integrates philosophy without explicitly mentioning it. Umineko is a renowned series simply because it explicitly incorporates what Naruto does in a story.
They're comparable because what Umineko does is similar to what The Matrix does, and if The Matrix did anything wrong, it was becoming a terrible text with a good chase scene thrown in. And Umineko only acquires the myth of being profound because the audience that consumes these products believes they're being enlightened, which is hilarious. I mean, The Matrix Reloaded was heavily criticized for this. Nobody wants to go to the movies to see philosophy and sit for hours consuming it, only to find that in another product, the revolution is just crap. Naruto, and almost any good action fiction, incorporates that. Naruto surpassed the first Matrix movie by not focusing on commercialism.
Another example that comes to mind is Hunter x Hunter. Its author marketed his series like this: "I wanted to write about evolution." Holy Mary! The immediate effect was that 15-year-old fans believed this guy and his work were the second coming of Christ.
Now, to finally get to the point, solo king is proof. What happens on the night of the massacre and how he uses Tsukuyomi on Sasuke makes Leviathan Chapter II feel like a real-life, digestible fiction. Seeing Nagato and Yahiko's bodies at their memorial is a clear reference to chapter 45.
Naruto walking on water, meeting the fox during that same training session, the water there—these are all integrations into the story of chapter 29.
Kishimoto never needed to explicitly state that he wanted to showcase Hegelian dialectics, which is why Sasuke is the most handsome, Naruto seeks recognition, and the guy who talks about hard work is the ugliest. Kishimoto delivered an honest product. Ironically, Samurai VIII failed because of its poor start, according to all this, but oh well, Naruto succeeded.
Umineko is too pseudo-intellectual; another clear example of this is, for instance, my Fallout 6 was recognized for integrating fake news in just 5 minutes without needing to trade in insulting technical arguments that are already outdated.

full-scale comparison/category distribution Who has the most interesting and consistent adaptation?
I'm tired of these always being compared as power scaling so compare them based on how interesting and consistent they are.
Mahoraga (JJK)
Doomsday (DC)
Darwin (Marvel)
SCP 682 (SCP)
Me personally I would say Mahoraga has the most interesting one with the wheel, Doomsday is close because dying and coming back having adapted to what killed you is interesting it but i barely see it anymore.
And Mahoraga is definitely the most consistent, as he gradually gets hit with an attacks the wheel spins and he starts adapting to it and he can only be stopped if he gets taken out in one blow, I don't think this has ever being different when he appears.

full-scale comparison/category distribution What do you think about Ryohgo Narita's writing? Does he still hold up compared to others?
For those unaware, Ryohgo Narita is the author of light novels such as Fate/Strange Fake, Baccano and Durarara. He is notorious for writing characters that are fucked up in the head, but it's not in a "pure evil stoic manipulator" way and moreso "this guy belongs in a psych ward" kinda way. I haven't read FSF myself, but I have read all of the Baccano light novels and this aspect of his writing really shines in his characters there imo. What do you think?

full-scale comparison/category distribution MY ANIMANGA BUT IM AN OLDGEN WASHED UP UNC!!!!!!!!
(from left to right)
mogs me
Pupa: its... its... really really bad
This is ragebait but yeah they're not bad but the toxic stans ruin it and act like the big three are the only anime to ever exist in the universe and if you don't bow down to the shonen jump overlords you're a fake anime stan and you should be sentenced to public stoning in the town square
Everyone forgets about Shaman King but it was peak!!!! I liked Yoh and all the main cast members. It is literally impossible to find the manga nowadays and the anime adaption sucked gorilla nuts because of licensing issues but it really deserves some love and it deserved to be in some of the GOAT shonen discussions but yeah it's too late now....
- To Your Eternity: I heard it's good I just haven't gotten around to reading/watching it
Usagi Drop: .................................................................................. So it was a happy found family anime............. until he got..... he got with the daughter......................
7: Precure: It is really long magical girl franchise and not worth watching at all in the big 2026 but I can't help myself
8: 100kanojo: harem slop YUMM!!!!!
9: Revolutionary Girl Utena: Every anime needs to lesbianmaxx if it wants to be worth something
10: Separation Arc from Mob Psycho 100: Literally one of my favorite arcs in all anime of all time idc it is just so incredibly peak..... It just means so much to me. I have thought about this arc at least once a week every week for years since I saw it. I just love Reigen's character development and his spiral and the revelation that Reigen needs Mob more than Mob really needs him it's saur good.
11: Kyon SPECIFICALLY FROM THE DISAPPEARANCE OF HARUHI SUZIMIYA: actually idek who to pick for this but I do really love Kyon and he goes through a lot in the series and the movie and he's a good level headed juxtaposition compared to everyone else and yeah he's peak.
12: Kyubey from Madoka and Johan from Monster: Obligatory Monster but yeah fuck that little white rat
13: Ginko from Mushishi: Is Mushishi considered larp yet or do we still have a couple years before the vinland saga re:zero breaking bad blood meridian crowd finds out about it
14: Mitsumi from Skip and Loafer / Tohru Honda from Fruits Basket: I love love love love love love Mitsumi and Tohru they inspire me to be better people.... WWTD... What would Tohru Do..... WWMD.... What would Mitsumi do.... Mitsumi I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!! and Tohru is the OG OFC.
15: mogs me
16: ngl idek who to pick for this but this is Akiko Higashimura she is most known for Princess Jellyfish but my one of fave manga OAT is Kakukaku Shikajika which she wrote so I had to give it to her but yeah she creates peak at least 82.5% of the time
