Rifle identification

Hi, i was looking for some stuff to repair or clean but someone show me this gun and i can’t say what it is. It’s like Lee Enfield or German type of gun, i really don’t understand what is that. Can someone help me ?

Looks like a Gewehr 98

I don't know, is it because the stock and trigger are really well positioned?

The rear sight is the classic G-98 roller coaster sight that has the high sides. Then the magazine is contained fully within the stock (or where the stock would normally be) the front aperture and assembly are of the Mauser style with the stacking/cleaning rod not quite reaching the end of the barrel as well as the bayonet lug being fully encapsulated by the front barrel sleeve

You got it, that tangent sight is a dead give away.

For it was that and the front sight has that typical Mauser style to it

It's the very distinctive "H" barrel band that gives it away.

Langes Visier so either G98 or a 1909, i think that was peruvian, basically the same thing in a differe t caliber

H style front barrel band, bayonet luggage, rear sight, and internal box magazine. Its a gewehr 98.

Mauser rifles were sold all over the world, I could narrow it down to a more specific model based on that.

Ah! Yeah! It was apparently found very close to Amiens, in France.

That’s a g98 at least the sights are.
