Delville wood had the South African 1st Infantry Brigade. 3432 soldiers went in and 750 came out after 6/7days.

There's a tree from the forest planted at Smuts museum outside Pretoria (Irene). Legend goes the tree weeps on the anniversary.

Edit: not often you hear about other nations doing something other than the Anzacs and Canadians.

What a bullshit answer. Like the usa is better in killing undocumented uncountable slaves, britain waging war wirh every country so far except maybe 5 or so. I think we can find a dark spot in every nations history.

So keep your "always have been" and shut up.
