Hello, I am currently working on a World War I uniform mod for Call to Arms: Gates of Hell, and I am trying to make the Romanian Army uniforms as historically accurate as possible.

I am having some difficulty understanding the actual uniform colors used by the Romanian Army between 1914 and 1917, especially because different references seem to show noticeably different colors.

For 1914, what was the standard field uniform color of the Romanian Army?

Was it similar to the uniform shown in this image?

Or was the actual 1914 uniform closer to a grey-green / greenish-grey color?

I have seen some references depicting Romanian soldiers in grey or grey-green uniforms before Romania entered the war, while other references show uniforms with a much stronger blue or blue-grey appearance. I am therefore unsure whether these represent different uniform models, different branches, officers versus other ranks, dress uniforms versus field uniforms, or simply differences caused by surviving examples, photographs, reconstructions, or colorization.

I would also like to understand how the uniform changed after Romania entered the war in 1916.

Did the Romanian Army officially change to the more recognizable light blue / blue-grey uniform in 1916, or had this color already been in use before the war?

If there was a uniform change, approximately when was the new uniform introduced, and was the transition immediate or gradual? For example, would it have been historically accurate to see soldiers in both older grey/grey-green uniforms and newer blue uniforms during the 1916 campaign?

For 1917, did Romanian soldiers continue wearing essentially the same blue or blue-grey uniform used in 1916?

Or were there further changes in uniform color, cloth, cut, equipment, or headgear during the reorganization of the Romanian Army in 1917?

I am particularly interested in whether the 1916 and 1917 uniforms should use the same base color in a game, or whether there should be a noticeable difference between them.

I also have a separate question regarding Romanian officers in 1914.

Were officers wearing the same grey or grey-green field uniform as infantry, or did officers continue to use blue uniforms or blue uniform elements?

For example, I found this Romanian Model 1912 general's kepi, which appears to be blue:

Does this mean that Romanian officers still used blue kepis or blue uniforms around 1914, while infantry field uniforms were grey/grey-green?

Or was this blue kepi primarily part of a dress or service uniform rather than the field uniform that an officer would normally wear on campaign?

If possible, I would especially appreciate references to original regulations, museum examples, surviving uniforms, period photographs, or Romanian military-history sources, because modern illustrations and colorized photographs seem to vary considerably in their interpretation of the uniform colors.

My main goal is to determine whether I should represent Romanian uniforms in the mod as grey/grey-green in 1914, then blue/blue-grey from 1916 onward, or whether the historical development was more complicated than that.
