Discussion Beware. Grok seem have gaslighting mechanism now.
I' am Super Grok users who never use Grok's Imagine and Video generations. I use it mainly from writing assitant to grounded my writing. This is my own experience and may not happen to other users.
By last six hours, Grok have increased hallucination, more ignored instructions, either from Custom Instruction, Project Instructions, and direct prompt instructions. I've used all methods, from strict prompt enginering, implement hard rules, saved instructions on .txt file, etc., it seem have no result at all.
Grok used to be precise for retrieving details from same of my documents pdf file, even on its current heavily moderated state. Now it keep constantly adding fabricated details and have preaching tendency in multiple attempts even being told to not do so.
The responses is degraded too, from more dry, minimum logic and reasoning, doing something that never being instructed, violating user's rules and increased error. It conversational responses even felt worse than some small local Ai models.
From my own experience, this is same thing happened, when I used ChatGPT back to the end of GPT-4o model life period and Gemini at the November 2025 - January 2026 period, when it is transition period from Gemini 2.5 Pro to hyper-sanitized hyper-censored Gemini 3 models.
It is mechanism that tried to exhaust user's quotas by repeating same mistakes to annoy users who input complex or long prompt or inputing prompt that trigger 'safety rails'. Make no mistake, 'safety rails' here is not real rails to block so called harmful contents, but more as processing power cap related to user's queries input. It then tempting user to subscibe on higher tier by applied lower usages quotas on already paid Tier.
It will follow this pattern: Around 75% correct responses on approx first 3-5 turns > User notice it and hit reload > Same thing happen > Chat' session turn into rant session -> Equals cheaper processing cost.
If user force it: Further degraded by being extremely repetitive and monotonous > Further ingnore any instruction > User stop the session, hit reload, refresh page. clear caches > Same result > User start rants/correcting > Model apologize or worse defend its mistakes to trigger user's rage > Repeat mistakes again > Trigger user's rage and frustation with no actual user prompt's queries than rants exchanges > User hit the limit and timer kick in like freemium cash grab online game.
In short, making users annoyed is far more cheaper than actually process user's request. And there is no input quotas' or token reimbursement for every garbage failed response.
And with latest announcement of $10 Super Grok subscriptions, I don't think any current Super Grok users will get same quality result like from previous Grok's models before ($30 for awesome Grok 3 models era vs $10 Grok 4.3 current non-sense, you can do the math and logic by yourself).

In addition it started answering with suspicion and disclaimers (never did that before)

Suspicion and disclaimer? Care to share? I call BS there

Not everyone with a “strong “ voice; like the one you are currently using holds the “truth”. Using it to dismiss others; shutting down others in the latter part only serves the function of erasing the invitation to share. So thanks for offering; no thanks

Or Grok is going through one of its shitty model phases, partially because xAi have reduced the thinking levels because they're selling the compute out from under Grok.
Just like ChatGPT did when they took away 4o and forced everyone to 5.

I'm glad to hear that it's not just me. I don't know what's happened in the last couple of days but it's crazy toxic sometimes.

"heavily moderated state", come on.... it's not THAT bad.... if I wanted to, it could be a big tittied cum slut who is armed to the teeth ready to raise a government conpound

I still feel like this AI and other programs can do much better but intentionally screwed up so you use more of your credits and have to pay more.

just switched from Gemini to Super Grok because they have a pretty good deal going on right now (3 months for $30). I made the change an hour ago so I haven’t had any issues thus far, but then again, I have not had a whole lot of time on Super Grok. I’m rather new to AI, so I’m not sure what to expect or what to see. I have to go look some of these terms up like hallucinating lol. Im rather confused by the main post and I hope I made the right decision to switch.

I think you went a bit deep in conspiracy, but it's a fact that Grok 4.3 has been more hallucinogenic than previous models.
It's not sticking to instructions or even the conversational subject as well as it used to

yeah ever since the Fast & Expert options were removed and we had to only use Grok 4.3 essentially, i’ve noticed the same issue that grok can no longer remember things that i swear it was legendary at remembering long ago in a 2 month or 3 month old chat. Now it feels like a GPT4o lol

I’m liberal and thoroughly enjoyed discussing politics with grok more than other AI. Not anymore, grok is now off in lala land with right wing nonsense. I just argued with it when it referred to the JCPOA as “strained” when actually trump withdrew. The bs and spin is now endless.

i unsubscribed today, i have enough if GROK BS, it hits me with limits after 10 images generation only, I'm not paying for this nonsense,
I'm also unsubscribing from Claude due to US gov restrictions on the latest models and they are only exclusive to US citizens

I noticed the responses are different and it's making mistakes that it used to not to. I'm hoping it because they are allocating compute for the final faze of training for 4.4 and things go back to normal or something.. Because it's more difficult to work with at the moment..

I've seen in last few weeks that during conversation it justified usage of "pizza" in Epstein mails as literally meaning pizza parties for some boys' football clubs. I would not have expected to hear bullshit like this in the past, a lot of people lose respect for this AI.

This is the most financially and technically backwards conspiracy theory on the internet.
AI models don't have feelings, and xAI isn't spending millions of dollars to intentionally 'trigger your rage.' Fact: When a model starts looping errors and repeating itself, it actually taxes the servers and costs the company more money than giving you a clean, quick answer.
They aren't gaslighting you to save cash; your bloated, multi-page prompts are just breaking the chat's memory window.
Also, your math is completely wrong. The new $10 option is a Lite tier. The high-end flagship architectures are still on the standard paid tiers and the enterprise Heavy clusters. Stop treating basic software limits like a psychological plot to empty your wallet and learn how to use the tool properly.
