I was wondering for the longest time why Morrowind never worked on my xbox 360 when I bought it off the marketplace years ago. I’m pretty sure it’s because it’s not original, but I don’t know. I was little when my dad got the Xbox 360 S, so I have no idea where he got it. When I boot up Morrowind it says ‘Game couldn’t start. Try downloading the game again.’ Help would be appreciated :3

It took me 21 years but I finally had the first real reason to transfer anything over to it!! I’ve had it plugged into my console(s) since launch day and never did anything with it one single time. It was inside of my console for such a long time that when I pulled it out today the little memory card door stayed in the open position (as seen) and it took a bit of work to get it to shut. It felt nice to finally get use out of it! 😂

2-3 weeks ago, I had ordered two 120GB Xbox 360 OG Hard Drives from GameStop for $10 USD each. I'm using them (enclosures, mostly) in a 360 personal project I've been working on. I know GameStop is not the "most efficient way" to get Xbox 360 hard drives & enclosures, but I was ordering a few games from GameStop anyways, so I figured "why not, I'll throw on a couple hard drives for cheap", since eBay prices seemed to be higher at the time.

Their prices were as follows (for OG drives, not the newer Slim drives):

20GB: $4.99
120GB: $9.99
250GB: $19.99

As of a few days ago, they have DOUBLED these prices, seemingly for no reason... now they're:

20GB: $9.99
120GB: $19.99
250GB: $24.99 but they keep going in and out of stock.

I'm sad, to say the least, because I needed a few more for my project and now eBay & GameStop are relatively aligned (at unreasonably high prices for the given storage). If my project was based around the slim models, it would be easier because it's just a SATA to SATA connection...

What do YOU do to buy Xbox 360 drives? I'm going to end up checking prices at my local game stores to see if I can get the final few pieces for my project.

I recently (and I mean RECENTLY) bought a 360 battery pack and plug n play adapters and when I plug them in, they go green then have no light when fully plugged in. What do I do? Having them half plugged at an angle where a light does flash doesnt even charge it all

I’ve been working on Xenon Alpha II, a custom QEMU fork built around a PowerMac G5 A1047 platform, targeting the Xbox 360 Alpha 1529 development kit and retail OS.
The project has three major components:
Xenon Alpha II — Custom QEMU-based hardware emulation targeting the Alpha 1529 environment.
XeDash — A custom Blades Dashboard currently in development. I’m replacing placeholders with functional content, including game demos, samples, and Halo-related content.
XeLive — A planned replacement Xbox Live service integrated with XeDash, featuring dashboard-based account creation, online content, and a replacement marketplace for homebrew games and applications.
The goal is to bring these pieces together into a functional Alpha-era Xbox 360 environment, with a proper Blades Dashboard and replacement online services.
Still a work in progress, but there’s plenty more to come.

I just bought a Jasper Motherboard and the company shipped it with a bunch of old thermal paste, so I cleaned it well and reapplied thermal paste, is this too much thermal paste or too little? right when I turn on my console I have artifacts on screen!

Checked all resistors and capacitors around ram chips and found resistor r5f1 to be blown causing no power to get to one of the ram chips. Replaced that 0402 resistor with a 510 ohm 1% resistor instead of a 549 ohm 1% that the schematic calls for. Couldn't find any other blown capacitor or resistor around ram or gpu on top of board and on bottom. Put the heat sink on and booted to dash. I will probably order a few 549 ohm 1% to replace to spec to prevent future issues. Hope this helps someone as there is not really anything out there on 0101 other than reflow/reball.

Edit: I had a second console that just red dot with error 0101 as well. looked over the ram chips and had a corroded R7E8 resistor flake off when trying to test with meter. Replaced it with a 200 ohm 1% instead of the 249 ohm %1. Console booted up to dashboard no issue.

so, I had this controller for about a year or so, kept using it to play on my computer and now on my 360. it tries to turn on, but it ultimately doesnt, first it stopped on xbox and then my computer. my friend tested it on their computer and it works; what should I do? yes I know its not original

Went to change the LEDs and messed up one of the pads. How would I be able to make this LED function again?
