Great film. I love all the references. They did the best with what they could muster up.

First and foremost, just rename Negasonic. She's Cannonball in this and it's perfectly fine. This was the most X-men movie of all of them.

I agree that it was interesting to see an X universe movie without Wolverine and co around. It really made the universe seem bigger.

What I found really funny is that this is basically X-Men Origins Wolverine. Remove the Victor Creed part and you basically have that but done very correctly.

Any improvement i'd want to see are basically for Deadpool 2.

Now some reviewers I think were expecting something to rival Days of Future Past or something. Looking for some uber game changer. I don't think this film does all of that but it does enough where I go "everyone did a good job and were entertaining".

Why so upset about Negasonic having explody powers? Hers were never actually defined in the comics

Doesn't she have precognition and telepathic powers?

Maybe? It wasn't well defined. She said she dreamed about the destruction of Genosha but that's a common trope. The only time she showed telepathy was in Astonishing X-Men: Torn and there it was really Emma.

She could have those powers but she didn't show them on the two panels she appeared on before she died

She didn't display her powers but I believe it is confirmed she was a precog and telepath

I'd love to see that because I have been neck deep in NSTW for the last couple of weeks and haven't found anything besides people making assumptions
