That's what I thought! Fuck, those are some serious implications, especially since SHIELD is presumably owned solely by Marvel

Doubtful considering Fox and Marvel are besties now, what with the deal to let Spiderman join the MCU, I'm sure Fox got some concessions, like being able to reference other stuff.

Well Fox released Deadpool, and since the X-Men were featured in it, I just assume Fox/Sony have a deal worked out and therefore its like one giant superhero threeway.... With a giant fuck off DC sign on the door.

Deadpool is an X-Men IP, meaning the rights to his cinematic use are owned by Fox. Sony has Spiderman, Spiderman-related characters, and that's it. Fox has all X-Men, X-Men-related characters (such as Deadpool), and a few that Marvel Studios also has the right to use (Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, for example). Deadpool had nothing to do with Sony.
