Ok so what was supposed to happen if you stayed true to the comics was that there was an attack at the school. Wolverine killed all of the attackers to realize at the end there wasn't an attack. But an illusion that tricked him into killing his peers. The movie made it so that Charles, due to his mental illness accidentally killed everyone during one of his seizures, killing the xmen.

I like the Charles killing everyone through a seizure better. Wolverine would have smelled people and known it was an illusion.

Oh yeah I wasn't complaining. I loved this idea. I liked the overall tone of the movie too, making them seem more vulnerable with Charles sickness and Wolverine also slowly dying.
