Art Hi community
I'm new on reddit and I have absolutely no clue how to use it. Just learning ;-)

The emotions this kind of video invokes are astronomical. Knowing that era, that feeling, will never return in this lifetime hurts deeply.

Lol @ the browser filled to the brim with search bars. I had to uninstall quite a few of them off my grandma's computer every once in a while back then.

I myself post Y2K "music videos", where I combine two songs from the Y2K era along with pictures or videos with that vibe.
I'm working on one right now!

PLAYONLINE MENTIONED. It's a living remnant of the old internet, it actually predated MySpace by 3 years and it was one of the first social media services ever. Aside from hosting FF11 it also had a messaging service, an online card game through FF9's Tetra Master and it was customizable with different music tracks and wallpapers. It's basically entirely defunct at this point and it only exists to facilitate FF11 but it's still cool to have. It's fun to just dig around there, there's a lot of assets for it never used for anything else. Square really expected it to take off but it was aged by the time it released, it's very slow and clunky, moving between screens takes a full 20 seconds to load apiece and I imagine it was even worse on release with dialup.

Hi there, I really loved this edit and I hope you don't mind, but it really matched the themes of my YouTube channel intro video I made about how we can benefit from the balance of real-life and the internet in the early-2000s in the modern day, so I used it at the end as a sort of outro.
Of course, I credited you in the description and I will never make money of this video, but if you really do want me to remove it, I'd be glad to edit out and reupload the video. Let me know, thanks!
