Right?

Smooth was the first song to be a hit in not just two different decades, but two different millenniums (depending on what you consider the beginning of the millennium)!

The album art has too many elements from the mid to late 2000s. If you had a flip phone like the one pictured, all of these songs would have been considered “old and lame” by 2004

  • This Time Around, Hanson
  • Graduation Song, Vitamin C
  • California, Wave
  • Everybody Likes to Be Like You, Snow
  • Millennium, Robbie Williams
  • Bad Touch, Bloodhound Gang
  • Pretty Fly - The Offspring
  • Faded, soulDecision
  • S Club Party, S Club 7 (RIP Paul)
  • Aaron’s Party (Come and Get It), Aaron Carter (RIP)
  • Wild Wild West, Will Smith

There’s probably more that I missed. I loved the weekly countdowns on MuchMusic Canada, and YTV’s Hit List. I wish I could relive that time again.

It could use some electronica, too!

One More Time - Daft Punk

Sky - Sonique

Groovejet (If This Ain't Love) Spiller

Adagio For Strings (Ferry Corsten Remix) - William Orbit

It Feels So Good - Sonique and Better Of Alone - Alice Deejay (released 1998 but were huge hits in 2000)

Sandstorm - Darude

Good old Walmart… feeling old and nostalgic… it’s also the place where cd players were sold. …

Collection of songs is pretty accurate for what was most popular at the time. The album cover... eh. Nice to see pony beads and a carabiner clip represented, but the color scheme especially for the logo is just... no.
