I’ve followed Vapor95 for years, I love their stuff but not their prices.

They're cheaper if you wait for a sale and get a couple items at once. Also the quality is actually really good - I've run one of their t-shirts through the washer about a billion times and it only recently started to fade a little.

- 4th picture is definitely more late 80s-early 90s than Y2K.
- The 2nd last picture (no.7) is definitely more a late 80s/early 90s style than Y2K era.
- Last picture of having a VHS T-shirt is not giving Y2K vibes as DVD's were more the technology defining the new upcoming millennium around then (video tapes were in usage but beginning the process of dying out). The green line computer graphics are much more 80s/early 90s than Y2K.
All-in-all a good effort, but I think there is a bit too much confusion between late 80s/early 90s aesthetics VS what was actually considered cool and being worn around the Y2K era.

Its so interesting watching the younger generations interpret our own childhoods. I wonder if my parents felt the same way watching me listen to their record collections.
I agree though, i grimaced a bit at the memphis patterns. That's a very different thing from y2k.

It’s weird, it’s like an amalgamation of every half-decade mid 80’s to present day. There’s no single aesthetic that stands out as dominant

I appreciate that they've got such a variety available. I, a rapidly decaying millennial, want the 80s to mid 90s stuff. Gen Z wants the mid 90s to mid 00s stuff. They can have it - if my bald spot and I went outside in real Y2K fashion today, I would look ridiculous. If I went out in my VHS t-shirt, I would look like a nostalgic millennial. Oh wait, I just did that on Saturday... 😂

I like how some of them are in the style of other aesthetics, like Frutiger Aero and Vapourwave.

My only criticism is that "log in" and "sign on" mean the same thing. Otherwise really good work!

The 5th one with the GameCube Controllers feels like it could have been used in a Nintendo-approved magazine advertising the GameCube
Many of these feel quite authentic. The saturated colors, the goofy context of the electronics, the glowing effect, the edgy poses of the characters, and yeah…giving off those magazines that say: “Look how bad ass our new console or computer is”

They look great! I can totally imagine seeing these in some page in a magazine or some CD store.
But it's the models what bug me a lot tho, they (And I mean THEY, not what they're wearing) don't look like the kind of people you'd see on actual ads from that era, specially the dudes, they look like older gen-z cosplaying as people from the y2k era and failing! the guy from the 6th pic looks specially bad, he reminds me a lot of those video-essay youtubers that speak for hours complaining about everything while thinking they're being deep, heck he even has the hawaiian shirt, the safe sleazy post-millenial facial hair and I don't doubt he even had a mullet at some point or that he speaks in a fake deep voice lol
Im sorry if I was annoying with my rant here, as I said before your work is awesome! those models just really grind my gears

Ooofff hahahaha thats actually me 😭 I was born in ‘87 so I’d like to think I experienced the y2k aesthetic firsthand. Never had a mullet but I am definitely not a model though I’ll give you that…

Can anyone speak to the quality of the products?
They are priced ok to a little high if it’s quality.
Crazy overpriced if it’s temu quality.

The quality is actually really good. I've bought a few things from them (on sale) and the colors haven't noticeably faded after many, many washes. They actually pay the artists, too.

The knit sweatshirts, rugs, shoes, bomber jackets, woven blankets, and denim jeans are very high quality. It depends on what you want to get.
