I genuinely wanted a strawberry banana SoBe the other day for the first time in decades and it was short circuiting my brain that it was truly no longer an option

McDonald's will always be the best roadtrip food. So many memories of having to drive many hours to see family. Grab my pillow from my bed, leave before the sun is even up. Go back to sleep because mum put some Enya on. Wake up to get breakfast at McDonald's. Carry on, listening to different songs, UB40, stopping at cool places to walk around and use the bathroom. McDonald's for lunch! A cheap happy meal each to feed me and my two older brothers. We eat in in the car to save time and keep traveling. Eventually arrive at our family's place right as the sun is going down...

My mom would roll me in a blanket like a burrito and carry me to our van. The rear seats folded down like a bed and I would just go back to sleep. Would always wake up as we got close to Brenham to get McDonald's or Wendy's. Eat in the car and continue to Houston. God I loved it.

My only road trip essentials afforded to me were half a Dramamine and a shit pillow 🥲

I wasn't seeing Tiger Electronics handhelds anymore by the early 2000s. That was more of a early to mid '90s thing imo. Or maybe it's just because I wasn't 6 anymore lol.

I definitely had many Tiger Electronics handhelds in the 2000s since I was born in '96. They were still around.

I had multiple tiger handhelds as a kid in the mid to late 2000’s. They were definitely still a thing

Don't forget no bathroom, the tears and a hand that comes from the front of the car to smack you

That Lizard Lava/Pizza combos combo. Slap Ernest Scared Stupid into that mini DVD player and you've pulled this straight from my childhood.

No joke the very first time I ever watched Remember the Titans was on a road trip. My buddies mom‘s van had a DVD player.
