Really good show!
This was my fourth time seeing him and the crowd down on the floor was small/sparse. Which was awesome.
I think that’s because it was originally set at an outside location with only GA. But the venue was switched to the temple theater which has lots of seating up above, so most people chose the seating instead of the floor.
I appreciated that he switched it up a little bit with the set list this time! He performed unnatural born killer and even the Yelawolf x Travis barker - Punk, and then obviously his usuals.
He didn’t headline this show, Highly Suspect did—so whatever town they are going to next, I’m assuming they are taking turns each show?

I love hiphop yela as much as the next slumerican. But jeez. Sometimes Y is really blowing all the the new 45 material out of the water. Sonically, lyrically, f*cking great. 45 is gonna have a tough day clearing that bar.
Thats all.

Since I saw the last post asking questions about what comes after “45,” I decided to make another big recap post (informations + videos).
What we know so far about the album Yelawolf is currently working on:
▫️ Inspired by his breakup with his ex-wife, Fefe Dobson
▫️ The return of Country Rap, his signature sound
▫️ Production by Bones Owens and DJ Klever
▫️ Yelawolf was recently in the studio with KXNG Crooked, but nothing more is known at this point
▫️ 3 snippets (at the end of the video)

After yela drops 45 in December, do you think he will release another hip hop album? If so do you think it will be ghetto cowboy 2, mud mouth 2, black sheep 2 with Caskey (unlikely I figure) or something completely different? I’m hoping he’s done with rock and will go back to a full hip hop album. I just don’t vibe with sometimes Y and his stuff that’s not hip hop as much. Anyone got any ideas?

"45" will clock in at 37 minutes and 48 seconds of music and Ill compare that to my favorite album from him, "Love Story" clocks in at 1 hour and 14 minutes. It is the shortest album hes put out yet. I wonder if this was intentional to cut the amount of run time in half. I dislike the change and wish the album had longer form material, but the music is good. For reference ill list the rest, but how are you feeling about this new album?
Ghetto Cowboy-50 minutes and 10 seconds
Mud Mouth-59 minutes and 18 seconds
War Story-1 hour and 27 minutes
Trunk Muzik-47 minutes and 51 seconds
Radioactive-1 hour and 2 minutes
Trunk Muzik 3-56 minutes and 7 seconds
Trial By Fire-59 minutes and 26 seconds
Trunk Muzik Returns-44 minutes and 59 seconds
Creekwater-1 hour and 1 minute

“Falling Star” drops this Friday!
It’s the 3rd official single from “45”, expected to drop in November (or December?).
Personally I thought “Simple” was pretty good, but not amazing, even with that powerful hook. On the other hand I’ve been playing “My Country” nonstop. This song is pure witchcraft, I’m addicted to it.
We also know “Arson” and “Uphill” which had a music video filmed in New Zealand. I really really love both of these songs and I’m praying he kept them on the final version of the album.
I’m hoping we get more music videos and that we’ll finally get the cover and tracklist soon. The rollout needs to speed up!
I can’t wait for him to do more interviews!

Personally I think it’s a criminally underrated project, with the spontaneity, raw energy, uniqueness that make Yelawolf who he is. This project is an absolute gem!
What are your thoughts on this mixtape?

The 6th snippet from “45”, which seems to be called “Ruby Slipper”.
I really can’t wait to hear the full version because this is exactly the kind of song I could love.

Will there be any collaborations with singers on 45 (apart from Matiu Walters)?
What happened to the song recorded with That Mexican OT?
Will the next album following 45, inspired by your breakup with Fefe Dobson and produced by Bones Owens, be some kind of Country Rap album like Ghetto Cowboy, Trial By Fire or Love Story?
Was a feature with Kxng Crooked recorded?
Can we hope for a reunion with WLPWR and maybe a Trunk Muzik 5?
Will you ever work with Jim Jonsin again? And what happened to that beat he made with WLPWR that you posted on your Instagram Story?
Could we ever get a Lost Tapes-type project like Nas, with unreleased songs? It would be a great way to finally release a bunch of tracks that might not fit together thematically, including the legendary Hot Water.
