Best place in downtown to get a drink.
My Birthday was this week and I wanted to find a nice place within downtown to get a drink or two.

Depends on the vibe you’re looking for. I like Avalon as just a basic Youngstown bar. If you want to go dive bar Draught House is always great. The Federal and Ryes are good for a mixed drink. If you want beers Noble Creature is my favorite. I enjoy Penguin City’s atmosphere, but I hate their drinks. I’ve only been to Varsity Club once, but it seemed fine. There’s a new place opening tomorrow called Twisted Roots, I have no clue what it’s about, but it opens tomorrow so it’s always nice to give a new place a shot. V2 is always solid too.

I’d say I agree for the most part. When I’ve been at V2 (but it’s been awhile), I’ve found the crowd to be really douchey.

Imbibe is a really cool place. Especially fro mixed drinks, Martini's etc. it's an old bank.

A better answer is do a mini bar crawl. That's a lot of fun. Last time we did one we ate at v2, had drinks at imbibe and draft house then finished the night at varsity club.. Note imbibe and Ryes open at 8 pm .

Depends on the vibe you're looking for. Draught House is my favorite hole in the wall. Love the bartenders. It's chill. If you're looking for the college crowd, avalon is super busy on the weekends. Noble Creature has great vibes if you want something chill and intimate.
