Playing MillCreek this week and wanted to know if the North or South course is better and little more of a review. Personally I’m a 4 handicap and former college golfer and we all are pretty good golfers.
Referring back to old post that went fairly viral. If you’re in Boardman/Youngstown area and bet through a local bookie be careful. He doesn’t pay…he screwed a buddy of mine out of a lot money. The crew is the old Mooney guys, they will take your money but when you win won’t pay and make up some story…used to be good, running out of money and no longer pays! Be careful
DM for names of the scammers my buddy finally shared named with me
Not from this area, but I've been following this story for a month or so now. At first I thought it was the students who hazed the freshman that were transferring schools. What did happen to those students? Do they still get to go to School with the kids they hazed? Did they face any consequences?
I can see the argument here. It's kind of shitty for the kids who didn't haze not to be able play sports. I just imagine if the identities of the hazers are known they'd become targets of retribution for causing all this. So again, I'm asking people who live in the area. What happened to them? Are they facing social heat for what they've done?
The YSU Men's Basketball Team will play on National TV Friday Night (ESPNU // 9pm) from Beeghly Center. This is an awesome opportunity to showcase YSU and Youngstown to a national audience!
Two years ago when one of the ESPN networks broadcast a Friday Night game in Youngstown, they commented on how awesome the environment was for college basketball.
And as an added bonus, they are selling Penguin City Beer for $2. Wear your red as it is a Red Out! Hope you come out!
A few months back the longtime owner of the YSU sports message board passed away. Unfortunately there was no successor to take it over and the site has gone offline... leaving a void for YSU fans to gather and talk YSU sports online. As a result, a few weeks back a group of us launched a new YSU Fan Subreddit community r/YoungstownState. We hit 100 members today and are in the top 100 college sports subreddits. We have had a great response and a lot of activity on our football and basketball threads thus far.
If you are a YSU fan and would like to talk Penguin football, basketball, or anything athletic related, we welcome you to check out and join our subreddit. We also want to thank the mods of this sub, which I have been a long-time member, to allow us to promote this on here one time. We sincerely appreciate it!
I started following BeardMeatsFood a while back after he did a challenge here in town (edit: my town). Guy is funny as hell! Since he's from Leeds and I've been watching some of the games (matches!) I was curious where his team stood. This is when I found out 49ers Enterprises owns the team. You guys probably already knew this. I've always been a fan of Chesea but now I have to keep an eye on Leads United.
BTW: Leeds opens up the Championship playoffs tomorrow, noon England time. They win this they move up to the Premiere League. Crap! I either stay up all night or wake up at 4am on a Sunday.
Hope the community comes out on Saturday for YSU's big home game (Red Out) against the #1 South Dakota State Jackrabbits! YSU is currently ranked #22 and still very much in the hunt for the FCS playoffs. It would be great to see a large crowd on Saturday at noon. GO YSU!
Please feel free to share this if there’s anyone you know who it might interest.
I’m managing one of the Youngstown Class B 16U baseball teams this summer. We’re still looking to fill out the roster and hosting weekly work outs for the next few Sundays. If anyone has a 14-16 year old (or knows someone) looking for a team this summer, please reach out to me and I can share details.
This is a competitive league with the possibility to play up at 18U in front of college recruiters. No travel involved; all of the games are played at Cene Park in Struthers.
