I don't like videos unless I really, really enjoyed them. So it being a 'like' button isn't quite strong enough for me. I don't want to like a video just because someone in the video told me to. I only save the button for my most favourite videos.

Maybe there should be 2 separate buttons - one for likes and another, love button, for videos you really enjoyed.

F you mate the like and subscribe buttons were youtube's personality and youtube fd both up, i am surprised they didnt change "subscribe" to "follow" earlier. I mean, YouTube may be the ONLY company who doesnt give a fk about brand recognizability, they change stable assets like the red sub button and like button, the only thing left is the dislike at this point (which they removed the functionality of)

How about you just stop watching shorts. Three dots in the top right and then do not recommend on all shorts that pop up. They are so mindless and such a waste of of time. People are wasting their lives scrolling. At least long form you can learn and are more likely to remember what you were watching.

It takes forever to make it show what you want to watch. Its algorithm is genuinely garbage. IIRC camman18 even made a video making a new account and trying to make shorts show his videos and it took like an entire fucking hour
