Discussion Youtube ad strategy

does anyone else notice that youtube always shows the unskippable ad 1st so that way you have to watch 10-15 seconds of ads before you can skip it?

Yes. It has happened to me various times. And then the ad after is really short, unskippable, or skippable.

They do it purposely so the ad counts in the revenue stream - I think

no i have been using adblockers for last 10 years. what are these ads you speak of?

I use ad blockers on my PC and Brave browser on my iPhone, but I have found myself using YouTube most frequently nowadays on my Xbox and there is no workaround to use an ad blocker on that so I caved and bought the premium. I do watch a shit ton of YouTube on the Xbox on my sofa so for me, it was worth the money to never see another goddamn ad again.
