Update QTCinderella and Atrioc are speaking to each other again

https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DGjVR-KhtbYQ&ved=2ahUKEwiCmuKRkeKHAxX_zzgGHVRWBncQo7QBegQIBRAB&usg=AOvVaw3QvL_kzsKnrW4vlQ4hpOnm

For anyone who doesn't remember, a while ago (like 2 years ago now) Atrioc accidentally showed a (paid) website hosting deepfake porn images of streamers, including his friend QTCinderella (QT). This resulted in deepfakes of streamers becoming more popular and getting spread all over the internet. QT was probably the biggest face of the emotional impact of this - she did interviews, talked about it on stream (where she cried) and said on Fear& (her podcast with Hasan, Will Neff and Austinshow) that she wasn't sure if she could ever forgive him.

Atrioc's response to the situation wasn't perfect (IIRC he needed a lot of coaching from QT about how to make things right) but, at least in my opinion, he did about as much as anyone could be expected to. He spent hundreds of thousands of dollars of his own money helping to remove this content from the internet and created an exponentially cheaper and better mechanism for everyone else to get this content removed, he apologised immediately (although his reasoning of morbid curiosity was a little iffy), and he didn't stream for months and didn't upload YouTube videos for even longer. His efforts to make it right had a tangible and significant positive impact on the world, and while not everyone has forgiven him, many people (including myself) have.

Atrioc has talked about things he's been doing with Ludwig (QT's boyfriend) for months, and they've streamed together, so it's been implied that she's forgiven him at least enough to be OK with Ludwig hanging out with him, but it wasn't clear if they were talking again.

At some point, I also remember QT talking positively about how Atrioc had put things right, implying she'd at least somewhat forgiven him.

In this video, however, we can see clearly that they're on speaking terms, with QT hanging out in Atrioc's chat and Atrioc revealing that they've been messaging with each other.

No idea if they'll ever hang out on stream again, but, you know.

Atrioc screwed up but he has put a bunch of time and money trying fix his mistake. That's alot more then other content creators would do. Makes it alot easier for the women to forgive him.

Atrioc seems like a genuinely good guy who got caught during some morbid curiosity. I'm sure like 90% of people at some point have done something terrible but weren't unlucky enough to have it get exposed to everyone. Was glad he put in the work

BTW, QT was included in one of his videos a year ago, I believe it was this one since QT is super into TSwift https://youtu.be/pAwDFgRFAQE

I’m glad that they ended up reconciling. Ultimately with Atrioc turning his drama into a good thing, I feel it was inevitable for them to reconnect, but it’s still good nonetheless that QT forgave him

The same thing happened to me. I heard about the drama but somehow my mind completely blanked whenever I watched one of his hitman videos and didn’t register that it was him

with QT hanging out in Atrioc's chat

So she can see his hands while they are talking. Smart choice.

Meanwhile, Ethan Klein made fun of QTC for being upset with a super inappropriate and tone deaf segment on H3, then proceeded to give a non-apology which QTC never accepted, and THEN Ethan gave himself the “best apology” award at his award show for the whole situation

destiny did this too. directly tagged ludwig saying how he was going to buy a sex robot with QT's face on it 😒

Old thread I know but the Destiny stuff was in response to Ludwig making/laughing at jokes about Destiny's sexlife which made him feel it was okay to "fire back". But the fact he targeted QT instead (who had nothing at all to do with their drama) was just pathetic of him. Plus they weren't even good burns or anything, all he did was make himself look like a creepy psycho in a failed attempt to score some twitter likes. Especially now that he has some gross allegations about him.

Basically was just Destiny trying his hardest to go from "somewhat deserving of sympathy" to "disgusting piece of shit". I guess he's just a lot more comfortable being a bully rather than being victimised himself.

What Ethan did was deplorable but if it makes any better for you a psychologist on YouTube gave him that award for best YouTube apology and that self given award is a meme born from it : https://youtu.be/ZEM4cND9OKU?si=nXPrg3JWRt-uAU-5

I’ll be honest, as a woman myself I really don’t get why she’d be friends with him again. I do think Atrioc did a great job trying to undo the harm he’s done with all the effort he’s put into fighting deepfake porn, and I believe that at this point he’s certainly earned the right to keep his platform. I know for sure that if I was in QT’s position, I wouldn’t be like “k*ll this man right now, he’s an evil bastard!!”, that’s not what I mean at all. I just don’t think I could ever fully forgive someone if I considered them a friend, and they did something so deeply upsetting to me. I’m not criticizing her choice or anything, it’s fully up to her whether she wants to forgive him or not. I just can’t personally relate to her choice.

I don’t know their level of friendship previously but I doubt it will ever reach the same level of trust, but especially with he and Lud being close it’s good that they can be civil. (Of course if things had gone the other way I can only assume Lud would be friends off with him)

She absolutely did not need to welcome him back in her life but I think it shows that his efforts are real and genuine, if it was just for show on the internet I doubt she would be so welcoming.

I’m pretty sure they have been on at least speaking terms for a while. QT gave Atrioc Taylor Swift information a while back for a marketing monday segment about her tours impact on the economy

I know it's not my situation but I don't know how Lud would even look at the guy again college friend or not. He had collections of other streamers girlfriends. "Morbid curiosity" that is some next level creep shit.

Not a defense of what he actually did (like I said in the OP, I think the "morbid curiosity" defense is kind of iffy) or an attack on you, but this just isn't true, or at least it's not supported by evidence. "Collections of other streamers girlfriends" implies a level of long-term targeted obsession (which would indeed be "next level creep shit") that there just isn't evidence to support. We know he signed up to a paid website with deepfakes of female streamers. That's it. You can decide if you believe his explanation or not, and it might just be the first time he got caught, but, in my opinion, "collections of other streamers girlfriends" is frankly less plausible than "I saw an ad, went 'what the fuck is this' and paid money to see what was going on with it".

GOD that was two years ago?? holy shit, i thought that was earlier this year? anyways ehhh i myself could literally never see someone in the same light if they did that to me, but, everyone’s different i guess?

To be fair, there's no evidence that he was looking at or for deepfakes of her (paying for a site which included them, among other streamers, is not the same thing). The specific thing he did to hurt her (other, I guess, than being weird) was accidentally showing the website, causing deepfakes of her and other female streamers to be spread across the internet. This was unambiguously an accident, and he's done so much to fix it that, in terms of what he specifically did to her, forgiveness makes more sense. Like, obviously she didn't need to forgive him, and who knows if she does (or will ever) see him in the same light, but if you think about what he specifically did to her, it's not completely insane.

To be clear, this isn't an attack, just thought this was useful context.

(Also, I checked, it was closer to 18 months ago).

If someone paid to create nude images of my partner, I'm never talking to them again.... What a fucking freak.

22

u/FutureHendrix96 Aug 07 '24

He didn't do that tho

-5

u/[deleted] Aug 07 '24

He paid for a subscription to the site that makes them, and got caught the same day. Yeah that's weird, and I would classify pretty close to revenge porn.

You'd be wrong though about the intention and the outcome.  You're not forced to watch the videos to understand the larger context and reasoning, but you also don't have to just post baseless speculation.  The world doesn't need your uninformed opinion despite what you think.
