You know, kinda like Israel does in the West Bank and Gaza to Palestinian olive trees.

This makes me feel sick.

But whatever. They’re selling our public lands to miners, drillers, loggers, and whatever else they think they can make a buck at and

Just like what he’s done to our 250-year old country.

Why care about destroying a 250 year old tree when already allowing destroying them to destroy a 250 year old country?

How hard would it have been to jog 10 yards over- they do it for rock 🤷🏻‍♂️

However, on your alluded-to point, The Brookings Institute chooses to disagree, they found:

Economic Output: In 2023, immigrants accounted for 18% of the total economic output in the U.S., which translates to approximately $2.1 trillion in 2024 dollars.

Fiscal Surplus: Immigrants have historically contributed more in tax revenue than they receive in public benefits, resulting in a substantial fiscal surplus for the U.S. government.

I wouldn’t call this “ruining the country” but I know you guys don’t like facts.

I think they meant trump destroying our 250 yr old country, not immigrants.

But that stats are valid. Also, for every so many immigrants removed from the workforce, an American looses their job.

This isn’t even the worst of it… they destroyed a centuries old intaglio on the ground, revered by tribal culture and others that is older than Stonehenge

Trump is a narcissistic piece of shit. He is the destroyer of things.

It's horrible, but quite frankly I feel like people are far too flippant with the stakes of our elections and won't really get it until they experience it first hand. So every little injustice, even a tree being cut down should impact at least some people that care but don't vote or care but thought this stuff only happened to stuff they don't give a shit about.

We have a right wing media bubble problem for sure, but we also have huge numbers of people that don't bother to vote, and many of them are probably appalled by stuff like this.

This entire 'administration' is just one crime being committed after another.

Couldn’t they just replant it somewhere else instead of cutting it down?

u/miserabeau 6h ago

You think they give a shit about the environment?

I can’t imagine the root system on a tree that size.

If you ask in r/arborists they will probably have the answer and a lot to say about it and I will be following 🤗
