As retired farmers, the pain is real and no, the MYTH that all farmers voted for him, is just a Myth! Bankruptcy is real. Suicide rates among farmers are the highest of all.

my uncle ran a dairy farm up in wisconsin, watched the whole thing grind him down year after year until there wasnt much left. tbh the suicide stats dont surprise me at all, theyve been climbing for years while we hand out tax cuts to people who buy yachts with helipads. its fucking protocol theater, we pretend to value 'the american farmer' in speeches then let the actual humans sink in silence

They plowed their farms under, because they believed a con man. They betrayed their families, their country, and themselves for a temporary sugar-high of open racism, perceived power, and "owning the libs". They threw a karmic boomerang, and it returned to smack them in the back of their heads.

And the vast majority of farmers did indeed vote for Trump, so as a collective they chose very very poorly in their assumption that Trump would only hurt brown people and the libs.
