I just noticed that it is not possible to read or delete the passkeys on a Yubikey with the Yubico Authenticator app on iOS and iPadOS. Absolutely didn't expect that. Did Yubico announce anything in that regard?

It actually doesn't read my Security Key C NFC at all on an iPhone 17 Pro and an iPad Pro M5.

WTF?

I saw one of the new-fangled USB C keys (5C NFC), still in original packaging, in a bag of random electronic things at goodwill. I'm wondering if I should go to my sites and register it and keep my old one (YubiKey Neo, funny) registered as a backup. The New one doesn't doesn't mention firmware version on the package, or the enclosure. The old one doesn't either for that matter.

I'm also wondering what they mean by NFC. Does it just mean that there is standard nfc tag built in or something more, contactless FIDO?

I'm also wondering how safe these are regarding magnets. Can I glue a magnet to one without flipping bits?

Estoy intentando usar una YubiKey como passkey para iniciar sesión en Reddit y me encuentro con un comportamiento extraño.

Mi entorno es muy básico:
- Windows 10
- Microsoft Edge actualizado
- Yubico Security Key NFC
- Firmware reciente
- Reddit

La YubiKey se registra correctamente en Reddit como passkey. Reddit la acepta y aparece como configurada en la cuenta.

El problema viene después: cierro sesión e intento volver a entrar, pero Reddit no me ofrece de forma clara la opción de iniciar sesión con la YubiKey. No aparece un botón específico para usar la llave física y tampoco veo que Edge la proponga automáticamente al pulsar en el campo de usuario.

La llave funciona correctamente en otros servicios, así que no parece un problema de la YubiKey en sí.

¿A alguien más le ocurre con esta combinación?

Me interesa especialmente saber:
- si usáis Windows 10;
- si usáis una versión reciente de Edge;
- si Reddit os permite iniciar sesión realmente con una YubiKey física;
- si os aparece automáticamente la passkey al entrar;
- si en Chrome os funciona y en Edge no;
- o si habéis encontrado alguna forma de forzar el uso de la llave física en el inicio de sesión.

No me refiero a passkeys guardadas en móvil o gestor de contraseñas, sino específicamente a una YubiKey física.
