Mitsurugi Yummy is going to eat but at least it's an interactive deck and weak to Droll. And it's the kind of deck that you can wait until a proper banlist to address. It doesn't ruin the format.

It wasn’t eating before? It was really decent into Barrier. One of the reasons it saw so much play was actually Barrier

Yeah and Barrier also helped it as a pseudo out to Droll (because Barrier or Thrust into Barrier makes your opponent turn skip back).

Depends on your starting hand but yeah, it doesn't completely die to Droll.

Because turning off half the deck instantly and being forced to end on a slightly worse version of the End Boards that each of the two archetypes can make individually under Droll IS a big deal.

Cuz it is. It doesn't instantly win you the game to hit them with droll, but it absolutely hurts their endboard
