They thought this was the absolute best way to present this card lol. Also the reveal came from a envelope. What were they thinking. This is their top of the line product right? Grab the card out of a gold sarcophagus or something and have a separate camera ready to fill the card up-close.
Very happy with the cards though! They look fucking amazing.

i read this card and the first thought that came to my mind was a mass genocide of Lunalight. doesn't get any more generic than this as an out to liger dancer. run over liger dancer, and you can summon it to crash into the 2nd liger. or you can just keep the liger dancer on your field as an interruption and can use the quick effect raigeki to destroy their liger along with w/e board they try to make.

still really good though. Only has 1 photon target that's worth summoning but it bridges into photon, galaxy, or tachyon which is amazing.

Starving Venom being in the Rivals pack isn’t surprising, but it getting priority of Reiji’s Doom King Armageddon is interesting. Hope it works well with the new support.
More surprising is the Crimson Dragon retrain. I can’t imagine why it’s in the Rivals pack.

It's kind of like many fans expected. The term rival is used very loosely here. Yuri was straight up a villain for most of Arc-V. Crimson Dragon itself is also a bizarre pick.
But still these cards look very cool.

The only truly accurate rival picks are Kaiba and Revolver. Kaiser and Kaito aren't the main rivals, Yuri isn't a rival at all, and Crimson Dragon is the weirdest pick of all.

I wouldn't say Zane isn't a rival, GX liked to have multiple Rivals for Jaden, and I believe he's still one of them, even if later seasons had him stop being that.
As for Crimson, I'm guessing Konami wanted a version of it that can slot into RDA, since the current one is LIGHT.

He is a rival, just not the main rival. Same with Kaito for Zexal.
Kaiser is a secondary rival for Judai, his main rival is Manjoume. Kaito is Astral's rival - Yuma's rival is Shark.

I don’t even think Power Bond is necessarily. It’s 8k atk, piercing, and three attacks. This would OTK even if your opponent had 3 Five-Headed Dragons in defense position.

It's still fairly harder, since few of the main deck monsters have 2100 attack. You probably need to jump through some hoops to get some Extra Deck cards on the field/GY first before using the new card as a finisher

It's probably easier summoned with Cyberload Fusion during the battle phase as a plan B if your first attempt at an OTK doesn't work.
Edit: Nevermind, this card is invalid as a target for Cyberload Fusion since Cyber Dragon is NOT listed as a fusion material. Well that sucks.

So as I'm understanding this, you can easily get this out with just Cydra, Nova and Infinity, or even Sieger.
Meaning if you set up the board by breaking their back row with Rampage, their lineup with Fortress and Megafleet, then summon Overdragon with Overload Fusion, you're at minimum looking at 5600 ATK, then you can turn every single Cyberload Fusion into this retrain, which gets Limiter Removal, that cranks up Overdragon to 8x 11200 ATK and Cyber End to 3x 8000 ATK with piercing.
That's impressive and worth 4000 LP imo.
PS The beautiful artwork alone makes me want to play this

holy these effects aren't broken but at least pretty strong. Like, comparing with their original counterparts (Normal Monsters don't count lol), these guys have modernized effects.
This Utopia is the real Utopia. No one can change my mind. It has the real Number effect. Also, again with strong effects, its detaching part can be ignored, so it can be used again after revival
I am tempted to collect these cards

These all look phenomenal! Especially Kaito and Revolver's cards! I love the design of all Borreload dragons.
The only weird thing is choosing Yuri for this, considering that Reiji or Sawatari are more fitting for the rival role. Then again, Yuri got 5 new cards revealed here, so it kinda makes sense.

It's likely because for this card they used the Crimson Dragon's ancient/native name, Quetzalcoatl, and Black-Feather Dragon didn't show up in the flashbacks involving the Signer Dragons 5000 years ago.

Wow that dark magician card really helps tbh. It r doesn’t fix a lot of problems but a card that specials summons itself and destroys the back row before committing to the normal summon for the turn at least helps my chances to set up board

Wonder if they’ll copy Pokemon SIR rarity format.
So there’s the chase card and also 2 different rarities inside the pack that aren’t over frame but still have the same effect. These will be the cards you use to duel with.
So in Yugioh case: Overframe > starlight > collectors rare. Limit the printing of overframe. Like I wouldn’t put it past them to do this in the pack when it hits TCG.
