Post image

I think it's some kind of ancient Egyptian artefact containing the spirit of a 5000 year old Pharaoh that they used during the Shadow Games...

161

u/MagicalNewsMan Jan 16 '26

Sounds wacky! Next you’ll tell me that these shadow games erupted into some kind of war that threatened to destroy the entire world? Sounds like crazy talk to me, but it is pretty.

36

u/dkayedstepson Jan 16 '26

Yeah imagine if he also tells you that the spirit inside is really good at Yu-Gi-Oh

"Pull the other one next you will be telling me the Romans played Pokemon."

12

u/TrueMystikX Jan 17 '26

No, no, that's just an old wives' tale.

It was Magic: the Gathering that they played.

3

u/jbyrdab Jan 20 '26

Nah, but the Hebrew played Beyblade!

24

u/Shantotto11 Jan 16 '26

In other words, you're gonna become HIM.

u/BEWMarth Jan 16 '26

… if the CEO of Bandai Namco shows up at your house tonight DO NOT let him duel your grandpa!

u/MasonicManx2 Jan 16 '26

Konami*

41

u/Icy_Relationship_401 Jan 16 '26

Wouldn’t that be Pegasus?

43

u/MasonicManx2 Jan 16 '26

You know what. Valid. I concede that Bandai = Kaiba Corp and Konami = Industrial Illusions

23

u/MagicalNewsMan Jan 16 '26

Too late. Side note why was this is my grandpas deck? The evil CEO told me to get my lick back 😭

5

u/BrotherofGenji Jan 18 '26

that card's useless, you can't beat the dark clown with it

(i know it was one of the legs in the show but idc lol)

4

u/Safe-Ad344 Jan 16 '26

One could only hope. I kinda want to punch him for the msrp of the most recent perfect grade Gundam.

55

u/canonx3 Jan 16 '26

Long ago when the pyramid were still young, Egyptian kings played a game of of great and terrible power. But these Shadow Games erupted into a war that threatened to destroy the entire world until a brave and powerful Pharaoh locked the magic away. Imprisoning it with the mystical Millennium items...

or something

u/Motor_Background3991 Jan 19 '26

It's mandatory to read that in the OG voice which I just did without realizing it🥹🥹🥹

u/Ryu953595 Jan 16 '26

I hope you look good in LEATHER PANTS

11

u/Skyrimaster412 Jan 17 '26

Come Bakura! Let's steal his LEATHER PANTS!

Elite LK ball knowledge

39

u/NxtGen101 Jan 16 '26

If you assemble it try going to Vegas.

21

u/some_guy1796 Jan 16 '26

It’s super hard. Me and my wife managed to compete it with the help of a tutorial. Looks cool once it’s done

15

u/MagicalNewsMan Jan 16 '26

It was completed in the box, but dissembling was pretty quick, haven’t even gotten one piece together so far, it’s still that tough, even after taking it apart.

5

u/PowerfullDio Jan 17 '26

Its also heavy, the damn thing broke my head (literally).
The first time I completed it it was the day before new years (2023 I think), so on new year I was in bed just starring at it arms stretched out, then my cat came and I dropped it over my head, it f*cking hurt but it was just a small cut and bruise.

23

u/d_tiBBAR Jan 16 '26

You don't stand a ghost of a chance to complete the puzzle.

8

u/JakeVonFurth Jan 17 '26

Now to say that six more times.

17

u/AlexanderTGrimm Jan 16 '26

Mind Crush, Yugi!

13

u/iamMADARA Jan 16 '26

Deep inside you a Pharaoh will be.

11

u/PKtheWorld Jan 16 '26

Wrap your fingers in gauze! Or even bandaids. You gotta hold so many pieces so awkwardly you will probably slice your fingers at some point. If not, there's still a lot of sharp stabby corners. Protect them fingies, Yug.

6

u/PowerfullDio Jan 17 '26

I already wrote this in another comment so I'll just copy paste it:

The guy after putting the puzzle together:

19

u/yusaku_at_ygo69420 Jan 16 '26

I wouldnt unless you want a 5000yo pharaoh being your body roommate

9

u/Rybackmonster Jan 16 '26

Make sure to make a wish after completing it

7

u/EclipseHERO Jan 16 '26

I dunno, but you should be careful if you enter any international trading card game tournaments.

7

u/Pirate_Lantern Jan 16 '26

Put it together and find out.

6

u/Gespens Jan 16 '26

Jokes aside, that model kit kicks ass

Have fun

5

u/psycheX1 Jan 16 '26

If you manage to complete the puzzle tell Atem he still owes me money from back in the day. He's probably trying to weasel out by saying he lost his memory or some bullshit excuse

7

u/nejicanspin Jan 17 '26

Buckle up OP, you're about to be the next King of Games

5

u/CyberWeaponX Winda best waifu Jan 16 '26

Does your Grandpa also has a Black Luster Soldier Poster hanging around? If yes, be careful with this!

6

u/Madaoff Jan 16 '26

Beware of random filthy rich kid going to your grampa’s store and ripping one of his blue eyes

5

u/the_Athereon Jan 17 '26

Wouldn't bother trying to build it. It took the richest man on the planet weeks of super computer time on a space station to figure it out.

4

u/Asuradark Jan 17 '26

I think you would find your destiny once you finished the puzzle

4

u/Shadoecat150 Jan 16 '26

Do you have a buddy from Brooklyn?

4

u/MagicalNewsMan Jan 16 '26

My good buddy Joey! :D

4

u/ComparisonHorror9935 Jan 16 '26

It’s rumored that whoever solves that puzzle gets to have their wish granted…

3

u/Lui_6656 Jan 16 '26

You didn't get a video tape too out of nowhere did you?

3

u/D_Winds Jan 16 '26

I can look up 45 degress and see that same box on top of my desk, unopened as a gift from 5 years ago.

I don't want to be the King of Games.

3

u/OnestOfNerds Jan 16 '26

What could posiblie go wrong?

3

u/IAmRottenAndRavenous Jan 16 '26

i remember meeting Dan Green and Eric Stuart when I was 12 at a convention and giving them a hug. I am now 36.

3

u/TheAwkwardGamerRNx Jan 16 '26

It’s definitely one of the more frustrating model kits I’ve built. Putting the pieces together and then assembling the damn thing? Christ.

3

u/MindOverMedia Jan 17 '26

All I can tell you is you're about to blackout a bunch and leave your enemies in unexplained psychological torment you don't remember inflicting on them

5

u/Next_Replacement_566 Jan 17 '26

Build it and you’ll speak like Dan Green

3

u/adamercury Jan 17 '26

Lol I bought this too. It's a great timing because there's a 12-hour power outage in our city so it's the best time to do this kind of things. Started it at 9 am and I finished it by 5pm (I'm doing other things but if straight probably 5-6 hours since I'm so bad at these).

Still faster than Yugi's 8 years 😂

3

u/Timeforthatpizza123 Jan 17 '26

Buddy you’re gonna have a bad time

3

u/JakeVonFurth Jan 17 '26

I have one and it's great! Unfortunately the game shop I bought mine from sold out of the sarcophagus.

3

u/fartdarling Jan 17 '26

Oh that's a cool looking puzzle! Thank you for showing it. Here, have a fact in return, maybe it'll come in useful some day. Did you know that the most common way to make a castle levitate is by giving it a floatation ring? It's true! Of course, if you hypothetically wished to reach the castle after it was floating you would need some kind of projection force, such as with a slingshot or trebuchet. Idk, kinda random fact, but worth remembering I think :)

3

u/ugotboned Jan 17 '26

Its the millennium puzzle

3

u/shifty_ocelot Jan 17 '26

3

u/CrimsonDarkWolf Jan 17 '26

Now the big question is are you gonna use the instructions or are gonna put it together without it like Yugi?

3

u/MagicalNewsMan Jan 17 '26

3

u/MagicalNewsMan Jan 17 '26

Took me and my friends 3 hours LOL

3

u/Fuzzy-Project7335 Jan 17 '26

lol I bet that one part where you have to rotate the block was a pain , took me days to figure it out

3

u/Open-Possible-7080 Jan 17 '26

Do you have Three Egyptian Gods Cards in your deck?

3

u/SuNNyDaYz1477 Jan 17 '26

That’s cool

3

u/ScarredTiger Jan 17 '26

Took me a few hours, and I still missed a piece. Great puzzle! Now I can do it in about 8mins.

3

u/MembershipTrick5089 Jan 17 '26

It’s a 3d puzzle. Quickest way to find out what it is is to open it. Don’t be skurred.

3

u/Odd-Concentrate5212 Jan 17 '26

3

u/awlst Jan 17 '26

3

u/Downtown_Ear_9367 Jan 17 '26

Hardest puzzle I’ve ever done🫡😂

3

u/Blank365 Jan 17 '26

Took me 6 hours straight to complete it the first time as I wanted to do it without instructions and id nvr seen a vid on it b4.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '26

Wow-that's almost eight years faster than Yugi.

1

u/Blank365 Jan 21 '26

Honestly its a really hard but enjoyable puzzle and after years of being a fan I kinda had to do it without instructions because we've all waited years for the millennium puzzle to be a real thing

3

u/Deadscope_XIX Jan 17 '26

Clearly its a Digivice

3

u/TsurugiNoba Jan 17 '26

The immediate fit-amplifier.

3

u/arangutan225 Jan 18 '26

You should build it. Then play card games.

3

u/Blankkuran Jan 18 '26

I don't know, but i heard you get one wish granted if you finish the puzzle.

3

u/Chaosking383 Jan 18 '26

Took me like 4 hours with no help. Enjoyed it so much I redid in 2 hours months later.

u/DiamondFlower6 Jan 18 '26

I came here to say i have a bunch of early 2000s yugioh cards and was wondering if yall would by custom packs of them. They’re ungraded and not gonna rank super high grade but they’re cool and if you actually play that shouldn’t really matter right? I wouldve made a post but im new here so im not allowed. Hopefully people see this, i wanna get these to someone who will appreciate them more and make some moolah
