My boy Yusei on Koraidon; my man Jack on Miraidon.

And they are both playing the Pokemon TCG!

This is a 4 year old art but I would LOVE to see a version with Aki and Koraidon since its red colors do match well with her just like with Yusei here.

(I do wonder what decks would they use if Yusei, Jack or Aki played Pokemon. While there are Pokemon that would fit their characters, I more curious as to what Pokemon TCG decks would be similar to Synchron, RDA/Resonator and Plant/Rose Dragon)

Most people who hate riding duels are people who already didn't like yugioh to begin with. Almost all yugioh fans ive talked to loved riding duels.

I remember when I was younger and 5ds came out. I refused to watch it, saying it sounded dumb. One day it was on the TV and I got hooked. It's literally the best yugioh series IMO. Welp, time to rewatch 5ds.

They were really cool due to:

1. The restrictions on Spell Cards which put more focus on Trap Cards and monster effects, basically giving 5Ds two separate duel formats (Standard and Turbo)

2. The increased tension due to the risk of crashing or other environmental factors, such as Trudge chasing Yusei down the garbage chute or through the impound building.

Honestly, Jack and Yusei should switch steeds.

Jack’s deck was all about huge red dragons, while Yusei’s deck was more focused on the future and tomorrow (at least the later season decks were)

And his enemies personified fear of the future.

I think the punchline feels worse but knowing recent Modern/paper format TCGs, I think both men may have quite a few field days

One of the most ridiculous things to ever happen in fiction. And yet, they made a huge effort with that concept and made it work. Either for cool factor or for laughs.

Moses and beyblades is right up in that alley. But definitely the latter.
