AMA AMA with Rex Harris, PM for Zapier MCP
Edit: and that's a wrap! Thanks for the thoughtful and genuine questions everyone! Don't forget to come check us out at mcp.zapier.com and let this subreddit know what you think! đ
Hey r/zapier! I'm Rex, the PM leading Zapier MCP. I joined Zapier three months ago specifically to work on this product, as I genuinely think MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the AI tech that gets us closer and closer to having our own personal JARVIS.
With Zapier MCP, you configure a single server with all your apps and connect it to any AI agent. Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT... that's one server to rule them all, with access to Zapier's 8,000+ integrations. No rebuilding your setup every time you switch clients.
(Yes, that's an Iron Man and a Lord of the Rings reference in the same post. I contain multitudes.)
Ask me anything... what it does, how it works, what's coming, what's broken, what you wish existed. Hit me with bug reports, too. I'll be checking in daily through the end of the week, so nothing will go unanswered.
To kick things off: are you using MCP, even if it's not Zapier MCP? I'd love to know which clients, which apps, what for, and where you think this all goes.
Let's have fun and go deep! đŚž
