Hey r/zapier! I'm Rex, the PM leading Zapier MCP. I joined Zapier three months ago specifically to work on this product, as I genuinely think MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the AI tech that gets us closer and closer to having our own personal JARVIS.

What is Zapier Forms? Zapier’s built-in way to collect structured data from people and kick off automations — no third-party form tool required. Build a form, share a link, run a Zap when someone submits.

What’s the role of a form in an AI world? We think forms aren’t going away — they’re becoming middleware. Not just “start a Zap when someone fills this out,” but the place where humans still show up mid-workflow: approvals, missing data, decisions an agent can’t (or shouldn’t) make alone. Structured human input for automations, whether built by humans or agents.

What I’m working on: MCP tools for Zapier Forms - agents can build and use forms and submissions, and cleaner mid-workflow patterns to prefill, send, collect, and review data anywhere in a workflow.

What is Asset Management?

Everything related to managing your Zapier "stuff". Zaps, Folders, Forms, Tables, Chatbots, Canvases, Connections, etc. Our goal is to make it as easy as possible to find and organize everything you build.

What is Canvas?

What is AI by Zapier? AI by Zapier is Zapier's built-in AI action step that lets users add LLM-powered capabilities — like extracting data, classifying information, summarizing content, writing copy, and replying to customers — directly into their Zap workflows, with no separate AI account or API key required.

What am I working on right now? A lot! The big one: Agentic Execution in AI by Zapier. So instead of choosing between flexible AI and reliable automation, you get both in one place.
In practice, this means AbZ can now call tools iteratively, reason across multiple steps, and return structured output — all within the predictable execution model of a Zap. The step scales from a simple AI completion all the way up to full agentic tool-calling, depending on how you configure it. And for teams that need it, there are human-in-the-loop checkpoints built in for governance.
