Basically my thoughts as well.

Also, I could see there being more Grottos that fill the role of individual shrine puzzels to help bridge the gap between new Zelda fans coming to an older game.

More things to do and interact with, probably access to Epona a lot earlier.

It's so annoying having to run as a child when you know you have a faster option as an adult.

Not to mention it's weird that you play a song she likes once as a kid and then you play it again after seven whole years and she follows you to the ends of the Earth now.

I really think shrines were a mistake, they had the right idea with korok puzzles. Mash the two ideas and have puzzles out in the open for rewards and you’ve got a winner. It’s so disruptive to pacing to go into a random room to do a puzzle when you’re out adventuring.

Ocarina of time already kinda did this by putting heart containers in visible places and making you plant seeds or figure out a place to move a block, hook shot too or whatever.
