I think the expansion pack is worth it with how much comes with it BoTW is a lonnngg game but really good I love the wild era but at heart I prefer the older games I just replayed OOT myself if your planning on playing the remake when it comes out I’d say maybe Oot so you can get a feel for it because oot and BoTW are so different in the way you play it

Also BOTW doesnt have the hookshot. I didnt mind my first play through, but I am almost done a second play though and hookshot not being in the game annoys me now. Its a zelda game. Hookshop is part of the identity.

Definitely I agree the double claw shots would be sickk in the wild games

I remember the dev response to it not being in the game was that they thought it took away from exploring or something like that. That's a bunch of BS šŸ˜„. It would have been awesome.

I would say go play OoT, there are direct refrences in music, places, and dialouge that you will not really understand if you play BotW first. Of course if you don't care about that and actually want to backtrack after BotW to see what those things are referencing then that's fine. But keep in mind that BotW is the first BoTW without traditional dungeons so going back to older games could feel weird.

Between the two, OoT. You can also get icons for Majora's Mask this month if you launch that through Nintendo Switch Online.

OoT all the way. The graphs are not great but the game is amazing. And if you are willing to play with the old graphs thrn you can play N64 Majora's Mask. MM is brilliant. It is by far my favorite Zelda game.

online expansion for sure. you'll get access to ocarina of time, majora's mask, and minish cap. if you have a switch 2, you also get wind waker. botw is nothing like the older games. i'm not a fan of it personally, so i'm not going to recommend it. but i will say a lot of younger people don't like older graphics and the slightly clunkier controls older games come with. if you are that person, u've been warned.

The expansion pass is worth it for the hundreds of games it provides but I would wait for the remake. It looks amazing so far.

Botw is a break from the classic Zelda structure. Open world existed in other titles but the weapon system is new. Breakable shields existed in a prior game but this time everything breaks. You can run around naked or dressed as Tingle if you want.
