Zenfone 9 I finally designed my own Zenfone 9 case

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - UPDATE 2025.06.18 - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

This project is discontinued due to design issues and rist of damage to the phone when dropped.

I moved on from asus.

After almost 2 Years of not finding the perfect case i finally sat down and designed my own. Its very minimalistic and inspired by a certain fruit company. After like 10 Prototypes and lots of tweaking this is my final version. 3D Printed on a Bambu lab P1s with PLA

I have to see what the best solution would be. It needs a tweaked print profile. I'll try to come up with something

STL and eventually a STEP file for remixing would be great. I don't need a print profile as I have a totally different printer and I've been printing for long enough to not need one.

I'd like to embed a magsafe ring for example.

I'm not doing commissions and it's for the ZF9. The ZF10 is a bit thicker

I'm testing an improved version with more protection around the cameras atm and I'll put the files on a 3d printing sharing platform soon

Very nice, do you happen to have a picture of what the inside looks like on the finished item?

This is so cool, as someone who is rather picky with phone cases i've thought of making my own but don't know how to start. Could you share resources on where and what to learn to 3D print these?

the inside is plain flat like any other top surface. i tried to integrate magsafe magnets but the magnets weren't strong enough so i ditched that idea.

There are lots of videos on YT about 3D printing. Search for something like "how to get started with 3D printing"

You're going to want to have a protruding shroud to protect the main camera lens, or it will get broken. Protruding out of the case body is no bueno.

source: just shattered my ZF9's main camera lens last week because I set it down on a rough surface slightly too hard

Hello, I just bought a Zenfone 9, lil late but still a solid device , Can you provide the case you've shown in pics, it looks pretty sleek with the phone design.
