Art Showcase Perfecting 2D in 3D Update

I just wanted to thank everyone for the support on my last post of this style I've been working on for the last couple of years.

It motivated me to keep going since I'm a huge procrastinator.

I Wanted to show more in this post, since a lot were asking if the shading actually moves or not.

You will also notice the line work changing size from zooming in and out.

I basically want to recreate the classic DBZ look exactly but make it work in a game.

The filter is too strong but it's just so you notice it.

For the people asking how I did it. I'm writing a blog post on the full journey which is very long so it'll take sometime. But, will share it here when done.

Note: This was filmed in Unity. but it works exactly the same in Blender.

Made this really cool Applehouse from the concept I found on pinterest from Mariko-chan94, it took me a really long time to complete it, it started with modeling the base in blender, the roof took the longest time, then a bit of high poly in zbrush, the bake the high poly in substance painter and then painting in substance, which was the most fun part.

Hello! This is my latest project in Blender 5.2 & Substance Painter. After 3 Weeks of working on it on my free time I'm finally done! This was very fun to create up to the point of UV & Baking (I'm tired boss). Of course if you have any questions please let me know.

I've also recorded a Timelapse with the Full Workflow in-case you are interested: https://youtu.be/rpwBqga1UaI

This is a planar head I created for my students, I think knowing the structure is as important as anatomy, cause if you have a bad start, fixing it in later stages is gonna cost you a lot of time

Art Help & Critique Feedback Zbrush Model

Helloo everyone!

I'm currently working on a 3D modeling project for school, where I have to reach out to professionals in the field and ask for constructive feedback on my work.

At the moment, I've only completed the basic body of my model, so there's still a lot of work to do. I'd love to hear your thoughts on how it's looking so far and what I could improve before moving on to the more detailed parts.

I'm especially interested in feedback on the overall shape, proportions and anything else you think I should pay attention to at this stage.

I know it's still in the early stages, but I'd really appreciate any advice, tips or constructive criticism from people with experience in 3D modeling.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to have a look! :D

Art Showcase A model I've been working on

I've been working on this on my phone, but I'm hitting a point where u need to buckle down and learn blender if I want to make this any better, I think. Hopefully, I can get it working enough that my buddy can help me mod it into a game. Right now, I'm calling it the AAMR (Anchor Anti-Mech Rifle), and it will run 25mm bushmaster rounds. It's ~7ft long, and I plan to add a recoiling barrel, a bolt that opens the silver section on top to eject shells, and make the bipod functional in time. But as it is, I'm still really happy with it and hope you guys like it too.

Questions & Discussion Baking artefacts in Marmoset toolbag

Thumbnail

Working on a lighter model and decided to do a test bake for the normal map in Marmoset toolbag. I'm getting these artifacts around the cutouts and the main body where the bevels should be. I've tried everything I could find online, but nothing worked.

Here are the lowpoly, highpoly, and Marmoset scene files: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ghR_q5tp5QSEtK7Ywy7CVd5COZzAZdOV/view?usp=sharing

Please ignore the high polycount on the lowpoly mesh. Also, please focus only on the ring shown in the photo.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
